OMG, Can't Believe We Just Bought a Piece of the Mouse!

Hey there. We're almost at the end of our very long visit at WDW. First portion at Pop, nice resort but busy and noisy (wow, those toilets are LOUD) then we moved over to the Boardwalk Villas for 4 nights, love it! This is a lovely resort and we're in a much more relaxed state of mind being here. Soooo, after a leisurely breakfast on the boardwalk yesterday we strolled over to one of the DVC booths, decided to go to an open house at Saratoga Springs and BAM! we're new DVC members. It happened so fast but wow, do they put on a nice presentation. Sooo excited that we get to come back here on a regular basis now!

Welcome Home! I used to think DVC was a complete waste of my money until I took a couple trips to WDW and totalled the cost. Obviously they were all right and I was wrong You will never regret buying even living in the western part of Canada like we do. Will you be adding on at GCV?

We've owned at SSR for a couple of years now! No regrets! We stayed this past february at SSR and loved it - beautiful! (We've also stayed at OKW and BWV - the boardwalk is lovely....)

We just bought DVC at Animal Kingdom last December and will be using it for our trip this Christmas. Can't wait. It took me more than 2 years to get my husband on board but now that we have done it we can't wait for the "not to be spoken of CR DVC" to become available for an add on.

I have added on recently and am already looking to do so again. I think it will happen in August when I am on the PC cruise.... they usually offer great incentives while cruising. With 15 days on the ship, I am sure my resistance will be futile

We have been members since 2004 and now find ourselves down in WDW two to three times a year. We have enjoyed every vacation and love that the next one is usually planned (sometimes the next two) before the first vacation is even over.

The DIS boards have a DVC section and there is a lot of good information there. It will help you make the most of your points.

Thanks for all the welcomes! So nice to see there are so many Canadian DVCers. We bought 180 points thought that would be a good start for our family of 3. We bought at SSR, good incentives and all. Our first kick at the can so to speak will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel for 3 nights prior to our cruise from San Diego to Hawaii and back over Christmas. Then we get to plan a visit to WDW for fall of 2009!
