The track is not to blame for the accident. Luge comes with many risks, and one of them is the fact that humans make mistakes, and on a luge track at high speeds it is very difficult to correct them.
I had a heart attack last night when one of the atheletes fell of his sled.
It seems as though, nothing will go right with these Olympics. A death, hydraulic problems at the opening, bad weather (I believe a form of skiing was postponed?), and earlier the zamboni started leaking water on the speed skating ice.
I watched moguls last night, and I'm kind of disappointed Jenn Heil didn't get it. I mean I will admit that Kearney was better, it's just kind of sucky we don't have a gold medal yet. And we've never won one on home soil, so the pressure is kind of on.
I felt bad for Richards, falling and losing her ski... that was awful.
