Older teens and ADRs

My teenage daughters want to go to BOG to get cupcakes one of our MK afternoons. I can't make an ADR for just them to do this because MDE only lets me assign ownership of the ADR to people 18+.

Is there any reason why I wouldn't want to put the age of my 17.5 year old teenager as 18 years old in MDE? I've been thinking about this, but I haven't found any distinct reason not to other than it isn't honest. They will be off in the parks themselves on the afternoons, and they will stop in at CS for a snack regardless. They simply would prefer to go to BOG CS for their snack instead of anywhere else, so they need an ADR.

I could make an ADR for three and only have two show, but that feels less ethical than calling my daughter 6 months older than she is because I'm taking an ADR that someone else could be using. Thoughts?

If you're staying onsite and you already have 2 adults in the room you'll have to pay the fee for an additional adult.

We are offsite, but thanks for thinking of that if we had been onsite.

You can still put it under yourself and not go. There is no fee for showing up with fewer people than the res as long as somebody shows up.

Couldn't you put your name and then have your daughter as the other guest? My husband was on a bunch of ADRs on one trip and he wasn't with me. No one questioned it. When we went for lunch at BOG in April, we pre-ordered and when we gave out name they just handed us a rose. My kids check in all the time for our ADRs, we are never questioned.

Just make the reservation for 2 in your name and when they check in at BOG your daughters will just give your name to the CMs. Just remind them that since it is a reservation, you had to give credit card info so if they change their minds at the last minute you will be charged the $10 per person no show fee.

Yep, the easiest way would be to make the reservation in your name. Disney doesn't care and won't ask. We just got back from a trip with three different families, and because of some illnesses, there were several times where I went to the restaurant without the ADR reserver -- different first name, last name, place of residence, etc. Never had any problem.

This thread has been so helpful! We're taking to 17.5yrs old to WDW in August and they ADRs at SciFi and BOG. This is great info! Thx!
