Maybe there is a posting about this but I have not found it. Please point me to it if there is one.

I have an envelope with an odd assortment of 10-day No Expire passes with various days, some with a water park on them. One with 9 days, one with 5, maybe one or two with a day on them for me and my DD and Spouse. How does that work with the magic bands?

I have a business trip coming up with one night at OKW on my DVC points and then 4 nights at Coronado Springs for a conference. I have received a magic band for Coronado but not OKW. I would like to book some FP+ but do not know what to do about tickets. I will probably use a combination of a day before the conference on my old 10 Day Pass because I will have a full day and would park hop. And then just get a conference after 4pm pass once the conference starts. This is so confusing. Will I get two magic bands for the two reservations. And will I be able to put my conference passes on them and what about my partially used MYW pass?

I am confused. Does anyone have any answers or know where I can find them?
Thanks in advance.

My only advice, especially since you are already booked for an onsite stay, is to log into the Disney site and try attaching the tickets. To do that, after logging in, go to My Disney Experience > Magic Bands and Cards > scroll down to "Link a Magic Band or Card", click that > and on the next screen click the "Tickets" option. Enter the stuff they ask for and see if you can add your tickets.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to call Disney.

Either way, you're going to get Magic Bands, because that is the only room key now. And my understanding is that you will get 2 sets of magic bands because of the split stay. They are getting rid of the old plastic KTTW cards this month.

Thanks. So if I put a multi-day pass on one of the Magic Bands what happens to the leftover days?

You can add all your tickets to the site, and then pick which tickets are associated with which band, so you can force the system to use whichever ticket you want to consume first in that way. I hope that's what you meant?

Thanks again!

So I add my tickets to the site. I then associate those 8 days on the pass to one of my Magic Bands. What happens if after my trip I have 4 days left? Do they expire with the Magic Band? What happens to those left over days?

Trying to be careful to not lose those days?

If it's a no expiration ticket and it sounds like that is true - no it never expires per the terms of your ticket. The Magic Band will last forever as well (at least until the battery inside it dies, presumably years away - and Disney would replace it for free if that happened, or if you lost the band). So the days remain attached to your profile and you can use your band to get into the park until all the days are gone. In future you could add a new park ticket and continue using the band, etc.

Ok. Hope I am not driving you crazy. One last question. LOL.

If I associate my tickets with my account and a Magic Band, they stay with that Magic Band. So I get a magic band for every reservation I make, but I have a magic band with my left over 10 day no-expire days on them and I just weather two bands? One for the room key and charging and one with the tickets on it?

I have a similar fact pattern as you. I have all sorts of old tickets with different numbers of days left.

I am hoping my bumping this to see how your last question gets answered. Can a single magic band span several stays for all uses (hotel, charging and park admission)?

And a prior poster implied that one can input several tickets on a single magic band. Is that true?

One last question. If someone does not get tickets until arrival, does that mean they cant sign up for FP+ in advance?

1. Yes, one band, multiple trips.

2. Yes, multiple tickets on one band. You will have to have the priority of the tickets you want to use set at the park.

3. Yes, no FP booking in advance unless tix are connected with the band.

And to the PP, there would be no need to wear or use multiple magic bands on one trip. All the bands would be connected with your MDE account and all contain the same information and entitlements.

thanks Vicki!

How far in advance of a trip can one make FP+ reservations?

Is there an ID number on old ticket stock that you input onto the Magic Band via the Disney App?

For someone who gets Military Tix (folks I travel with get these). I suppose they will be stuck until they arrive at WDW to connect to a Band... sort of makes planning difficult with folks that have different ticket media.

60 days in advance, the MDE app allows you to scan your ticket barcode or enter the number from the back. And yes, on the military tix. If they won't have them until arrival, they won't be able to book FPs from home.

if I only have a one day pass on the Band, does that mean I can only make 1 day of FP+ reservations?

Yes.

As for APs, I'm not sure what's happening right now. I think people are recently reporting that it looks like you will be able to book FPs with APs very soon. At the moment, you can't do that unless you have a on site stay or a magic band from a prior trip. Stay tuned because things keep changing all the time.

WORD OF CAUTION on attaching non-expiration tickets to a magic band. I had one day left on a park hopper, non-expiration ticket that was attached to a magic band a few years back. Since we had a house in Florida we were eligible to buy the three day paper tickets each year for approximately $150 and they were good for a few months at the beginning of the year. Last year we went three times and used the three day tickets. This year we went once and I planned to use that last non-expiration ticket on my magic band from a few years back. NOPE! Somehow it had been zapped off the magic band last year rather than a day off the paper three day ticket. I ended up purchasing a one day ticket so I could join my husband who was using his last ticket (after all, we already had hotel reservations to two nights). After returning from Epcot later the next day, I called Disney to protest the fact that they had zapped the magic band while I had another paper ticket. I was told twice that that couldn't happen. After being referred to a supervisor, an hour long discussion with Disney, and being on hold for twenty minutes, I was told that they approved giving me another park hopper, nonexpiration ticket that could be picked up at the park. No refund because of their mistake. I thanked them profusely for taking care of such an UNUSUAL situation. Her response, "Oh, no this happens all the time!"
