Hey, Teena, does Jeanne's school collect Boxtops for Education?

As The Best Aunt In The World, I have to save mine for my nieces for a few more years. But I bet there are some Beach and Yacht FAQ people who throw theirs away.

(Don't know what they are? Look on the bottom of a box of Kleenex, or on a box of Ziploc bags, among other places.)

We started on our "short sale" last Sept. About 10 days ago everything got approved and then a week ago, it all went south. Things looked better earlier this week, cautiously optomistic, today we are waiting for the sellers to sign. We should know by tonight. After celebrating once, crying twice, today I am sitting back making autograph cards and reading the DIS. We are supposed to settle one week before we go to Disney. It needs painting and carpeting so that can be done while we are away and hopefully we can move when we return home. As you said, there is nothing short about a short sale. Best of Luck, Penny

My sister went through a similar experience with her short sale and in the end it all worked out! I hope you have the same good luck!

Teena I am so sorry for the loss. It is so sad for his wife and my heart goes out to her, especially after reading their plans.

But on a brighter note, my wait list came through. So I will be spending the first three nights of my October trip at Beach Club! It's my first BC stay and I'm so excited!

Guys, you are all so right about this place. It is wonderful. Got in today about 2 pm, got a great room right away. On the 4th floor, full balcony corner room, looking over the lagoon toward the Boardwalk Lights! We should be able to see a little of the Epcot fireworks, and if I want to go down on the sand, all of them! We're looking right down on the quiet pool, which is open 24/7. Everyone was wonderful from the time our car pulled in, and Lucia at the desk made sure I got a great view when she found that I would spend most of my time around the resort, especially evenings alone.

I am so grateful to all of you who post info here. I don't remember who told me what, but I love the Marketplace and Stormalong Bay, and the layout of the place. We had the turkey and roast beef sandwiches at the Marketplace because the wait for B&C was 45 minutes. Also the flatbread cheese pizza ... all delicious. I love that you can take your food into the Solarium to eat if it's as hot out as it is today ... the patio was just too hot. Right now I'm having my dinner ... a glass of wine and a little bag of chips as the others are in Epcot this evening.

The only little glitch is an elevator out of order, but I doubt that will last long. Thanks again for your help, everyone!

We fly out of PVD as well and Southwest is the only airline to offer non-stops. But Jet Blue just announced yesterday that they are coming to PVD!! Starting in November they will have non-stop flights to both Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale.

Jet Blue, eh. Nice! Thanks for the heads-up!

I pretty much fly Southwest exclusively, no matter where I'm going. I already booked our flight to Orlando for October, but not a flight back. The return that we want is almost $200 each and I don't want to pay that. I was excited to see JetBlue was coming to Providence, but it's at the end of Nov. and I need the beginning of the month to get home. I did also hear on the news this morning that we should see fall airfares dropping on August 20th, so hopefully our return flight will come in at a really good price. I miss the days of paying $200 for a roundtrip to Florida.

Nice! One-way tickets to WDW. My kids would be in heaven!
And, with Jet Blue coming, maybe they might engage in a little price war which would result in some savings.

At last, after a ridiculously long 4 months, I have finally finished my trip report from our March trip.

I think I took so long to finish the report as it was a way of reliving the vacation and I just didn't want it to end.

Thank you to Dee, Teena and all the other fantastic people that contribute to this thread. Hanging out here for the past year was a wonderful way to prepare for our trip and keep the excitement going. The tips learned and the enthusiasm shared were so wonderful.

It has been a great time getting to know some of you and making a few new friends along the way.

We don't have our next trip planned, so I expect it will be at least two years until we make our way back to WDW. Given that, I may not be sharing as much on this thread, but I'm sure I'll still be lurking. This group is truly one of the best on the Dis, sharing so much more than just info about the BC/YC.

I hope those of you with trips approaching have a great time and enjoy one of the best resorts at the happiest place on earth.

Where do I find you, Teena? I've only posted here a few times so not up on everything. I have seen your name and heard you praised so many times!

Teena can be found in the Beach Club Lobby right by the main entrance near the check in desk. I think her hours are 9-ish to 6-ish with a break mid day for lunch. Right now she is working on Sundays and Mondays but her schedule may change in the near future. There are chairs right where she works if I remember the pictures correctly so if she is busy chatting with some one else have a seat and wait for her. I'm sure she'd love to chat with you ElsieMoo!!

Teena, so sorry to read about the sudden loss of your co-worker. I can sympathize as 3 of my co-workers died suddenly and unexpectedly in the last 2 years (2 in their early 40s and one in his mid fifties.)

Ninja Mom, agreed! Teena, if it's working for you, hope you hold onto the Sunday/Monday schedule. So sad to have missed you the last couple visits. Our October stay is Saturday, October 6 through Tuesday, October 9, so we should catch you this time. We all prefer the photo of us in the lobby WITH you instead of the one the boys took last August in the BC lobby with sad faces and a space where you would be!

DON'T BE BASHFUL! Stop on by. All of these people are really friendly and new people will be welcomed with open arms. I realize everybody is really busy running around while they are at Disney but just stop in for 15 mins. to say hi and join the fun.
