cmcadoo66 - ah yes...the taffy. My husband was in heaven when we got to try a piece right off the line. So soft and warm! I think we went in there every day of our trip in hopes they would be making fresh taffy. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Savannah Bee Company also has body care products too. Some great lotions!

Just checked into BC. Room is not ready yet so I am exploring. Love it already. Lobby is so bright and cheery and that smell. Ahhhh a breath of fresh air.

Mmmmmm, I love body care products! I will have to check them out this trip!:thumbsup2

Enjoy your stay! Since Debby is on her way out it should be good!

That is the best feeling! I love the day I make that final payment! Now I'm just trying my best to not wish the summer away!!:rotfl:

Loving the tartar sauce stories!!! :lmao:

Well done, Couchy (btw, I'm thinking your name is a Simpsons reference, but I can't be sure!) for starting us with the mini trip reports before your room is even ready!! :thumbsup2 Keep 'em coming!

Laffite's Landing, so happy that you and your family have made the best out of the weather, but sorry about your technology! If it makes you feel better, the humidity ruined my cell phone battery without the phone ever getting wet!

Can't wait to hear how your last couple of days went - did you get as much done as you planned?

I finished my TR, and I'm totally gutted. :sad1: I am desperate for another countdown, but it will be a year for sure.

We were at the risk of falling to Page 2!

I guess I will have to promote the most recent installment of my trip report.

Yeah Dee...it's been quiet around these parts.

I'd just like to point out that I'm exactly 4 months out as of today!! And look at Mickey down there on my ticker...he's almost completely revealed the lighthouse!

So, based on the warm assurances and encouragement after my last post, we decided to take the plunge in upgrade from BC w/ water view to CL. We're definitely super excited, as it will be the first time we upgraded to CL, and (more importantly)- actually could afford to do so beforehand!

I hope everyone who is there now has a blast, and that everyone who will be visiting in the next few months can bear the excruciating pain of the wait - because I know I can't!!!

:goodvibes

I know you can't bring outside floats to SAB, but can you bring water toys such as a water football? Thanks!

Just got back late last night from our split stay, 5 days Beach Club and 3 days Wilderness Lodge. We tried to book the whole stay at BC but they were sold out, or so they told us. There is a happy ending at WL though.

Some observations:
Magical Express from MCO, BC buses running slower than other lines. It seemed that the lines around us had 2 or 3 loads before we were finally shown to our bus.

Arrived at BC around 10:30 am. Sent over to Concierge desk for check in since other lines were backed up. Room (Garden View) on 1st floor not ready; said they would text when available. Finally went back in around 4 pm and they claimed the room had been ready and a text went out (we never received it). We were at SAB during this time so not bad, just didn't like having our carryons with us. Room was 1578, a corner type room next to a staging area so there was a lot of noise in the morning with carts dropping off linens and such. Easy walk to Epcot, which we really liked. Around the corner to Marketplace, especially easy for refillable mugs.

Toiletries were still the blue version H2O and were refilled twice, although I had to leave a note for more lotion which was the only product that was really getting used. There was a phone book :rotfl2: and I actually used it to look up the number for Flippers Pizza which we had by the pool on Saturday night.

DH walked to HESS near Boardwalk with a rolling carryon and purchased a 24 pack of Dasani water for $5.99 and a 4 pack of Stella for $7.99

Cupcakes at Marketplace were a regular yellow with vanilla frosting, what looked like a Red Velvet and German Chocolate?? They weren't labeled but this is my best guess.

We only had waits for transportation when originating from the Beach Club, all others from parks and Downtown Disney were either there waiting or just a few minute wait.:thumbsup2

Yes, it rained. Every day. We put the ponchos to good use, didn't leave the room without them and had to replace 2 of them twice, without issue.

Captains Grill for breakfast!! DH was debating between the buffet and just an omelet and was told that you could order an omelet as part of the buffet. Loved the granola (I usually just eat a yogurt parfait every morning because of the granola). Cost was $17.99, well worth it in my opinion. We don't usually splurge on breakfast so it was a nice treat one morning. I think they serve until noon too.

At our check in to Wilderness Lodge I was asked why I was at the regular check in line, I should be up on the 7th floor. We got upgraded to a Deluxe 1 bedroom with a woods view (overlooking the boat dock). Loved the extra space. Since we were only there 3 days/2 nights we didn't use the club as much as we could of, but did make sure to try at least once breakfast, snacks, happy hour and desserts and cordials.:cool1: It was a nice surprise and the kids loved it. Toiletries here were the new grapefruit ones. Club conceirges were very nice and helpful. I had them check us in to Southwest and print the boarding passes. Loved taking the boat back and forth to MK, especially after 2 am EMH.

Crowds were very manageable, I guess the rain kept most away. We had late starts each day so didn't hit a park until lunch time, then would break around dinner and come back in or park hop. It worked well for us. We even saw Space Mountain with lights on when it was down at one point and we were on the people mover.

All in all, a great vacation.

We had a water football there last week. We tried to only play where there weren't a lot of people. DS was told that anything with a valve wasn't allowed but since the pool wasn't crowded they told him to just be careful with it.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! First day at BC was a success. While waiting for the room went to DHS and did TSM and got FP for later. Room was ready by noon so after unpacking I took a stroll around the world showcase before relaxing by SAB with a couple tasty beverages. Went off to use some Tsm fast passes and could not decide on dinner so had ice cream:lmao:
Anyway it has been beautiful since about 11:30 am . Lots of sun today. Can't wait for tomorrow.
Room is great . Have a full balcony. Had lunch on it, and it was wonderful. Ordered Greek yogurt, fruit, water, granola, and chez mix and it was delivered as promised and made for a nice light lunch.

Feckless - no Simpsons reference. Just a play on my last name that has kind of grown into a nickname :rolleyes1

Hello everyone. We leave tomorrow. I will go into a little more detail how everything went when I get home, probably Friday. They installed new RFID sensors on the doors and some of the elevators here for Yacht Club Club Level. I will try to take a couple of pictures and post them on Friday in case anyone is interested. Thanks for all the well wishes. Our vacation has been wonderful. My son broke down crying today because it's almost over and my daughter is likely to do the same tomorrow.

The RFID sensors sound interesting, can't wait to hear about the trip!
