Just got back late last night from our split stay, 5 days Beach Club and 3 days Wilderness Lodge. We tried to book the whole stay at BC but they were sold out, or so they told us. There is a happy ending at WL though.
Some observations:
Magical Express from MCO, BC buses running slower than other lines. It seemed that the lines around us had 2 or 3 loads before we were finally shown to our bus.
Arrived at BC around 10:30 am. Sent over to Concierge desk for check in since other lines were backed up. Room (Garden View) on 1st floor not ready; said they would text when available. Finally went back in around 4 pm and they claimed the room had been ready and a text went out (we never received it). We were at SAB during this time so not bad, just didn't like having our carryons with us. Room was 1578, a corner type room next to a staging area so there was a lot of noise in the morning with carts dropping off linens and such. Easy walk to Epcot, which we really liked. Around the corner to Marketplace, especially easy for refillable mugs.
Toiletries were still the blue version H2O and were refilled twice, although I had to leave a note for more lotion which was the only product that was really getting used. There was a phone book

and I actually used it to look up the number for Flippers Pizza which we had by the pool on Saturday night.
DH walked to HESS near Boardwalk with a rolling carryon and purchased a 24 pack of Dasani water for $5.99 and a 4 pack of Stella for $7.99
Cupcakes at Marketplace were a regular yellow with vanilla frosting, what looked like a Red Velvet and German Chocolate?? They weren't labeled but this is my best guess.
We only had waits for transportation when originating from the Beach Club, all others from parks and Downtown Disney were either there waiting or just a few minute wait.
Yes, it rained. Every day. We put the ponchos to good use, didn't leave the room without them and had to replace 2 of them twice, without issue.
Captains Grill for breakfast!! DH was debating between the buffet and just an omelet and was told that you could order an omelet as part of the buffet. Loved the granola (I usually just eat a yogurt parfait every morning because of the granola). Cost was $17.99, well worth it in my opinion. We don't usually splurge on breakfast so it was a nice treat one morning. I think they serve until noon too.
At our check in to Wilderness Lodge I was asked why I was at the regular check in line, I should be up on the 7th floor. We got upgraded to a Deluxe 1 bedroom with a woods view (overlooking the boat dock). Loved the extra space. Since we were only there 3 days/2 nights we didn't use the club as much as we could of, but did make sure to try at least once breakfast, snacks, happy hour and desserts and cordials.

It was a nice surprise and the kids loved it. Toiletries here were the new grapefruit ones. Club conceirges were very nice and helpful. I had them check us in to Southwest and print the boarding passes. Loved taking the boat back and forth to MK, especially after 2 am EMH.
Crowds were very manageable, I guess the rain kept most away. We had late starts each day so didn't hit a park until lunch time, then would break around dinner and come back in or park hop. It worked well for us. We even saw Space Mountain with lights on when it was down at one point and we were on the people mover.
All in all, a great vacation.
