Hey all! As I've posted before, my DH, DS and DGD (14) will be at Beach Club for the first time July 21 through July 25, then go over to Universal for three nights.

What have you found to be the case? Also, on these hottest days, is the water in the pool cool enough to be refreshing in the afternoon? Thank you all; this is a WONDERFUL source of info, and you've been so helpful already.

We stayed at the Beach Club in July 2009 and July 2010. During the first visit, we found the pool a little too much on the warm side for our liking. The next year, it was much more refreshing. Unfortunately, I think the comfort/temperature level of the pool changes, even from day to day.

I noticed that this past week at All Star Movies. Pool was warmer one day and felt better the next.

Thanks! I'm glad I got at least a glimpse of home. Didn't know I would be traveling from EP to HS during the trip so that was a bonus!

Too funny! As the title of my TR explains, we never intended to go back to Disney every year, but we have found ourselves "accidentally" booking trips to Florida for the past 4 years in a row.

We decided to try BC that first time when they offered that "buy four get three nights free" thing. And the rest is history.......

The 4/3 to the Beach Club reeled us in too!!!

We are back from our trip to the Yacht Club.

Our first Disney resort stay and the club level and this Disney resort ROCK!

We had a blast...The service was great, the room was great and the food and beverages in the club lounge were excellent!

I am now trying to figure out a way to get back as soon as possible.

I'm so glad to hear you had a great trip and loved the resort!

The day has arrived for our trip to Disney! Not looking forward to the 17 hour drive but really really looking forward to vacation. I sense a nap sometime today if I ever get all the packing done. I seem to be walking around in circles.

We always go in July and usually hit the parks at rope drop and then back to SAB either right after lunch or have lunch at Hurrican Hannah's. We don't go back until dinner time.

If you are interested we are having our 3rd Annual Mini BC/YC Dis Meet on July 22 at 6:30 in the Solarium. You can meet our resident BC Star" Teena and hopefully other Dissers. Check out page 1 and you'll see the pictures fro the last two years!

Just ran into this wonderful thread! Saw the noodle exchange and want in! Please let me know how to join. I didn't have time to read through all the posts. We're going to be staying at BC from Dec 25-Jan 3. I know, crazy family, but we love DW at Christmas and that works best for the kids schedule. I figure we'll be a the pool quite a bit and the noodles will make it tremendously fun.

I have been reading through this thread getting pretty excited since we may be headed back to our favorite Resort come December!!!
Right now it is between the new Nemo rooms and here! Our diughter REALLY wants to stay at Nemo but DH and I are longing to be back at YC/BC.
It is actually going to depend on what kind of a discount my wonderful cousin can get us (cast member).
But ohhhhh to be back at our favorite resort.............

So much for vacation starting today. I've been battling a uti all week and just couldn't leave this evening (17 hour drive) for Disney. Called my dr and he told me I really need to come back in to see them so we're unpacking the car. After we got home, the DH went abd checked our old home (the boys call it a shack on a hill ) that we're remodeling for our son to live in and believe it or not but a tree fell on top of it, knocking out the electricity and leaving a big mess. So DH is going to be chopping up a tree and fixing the house asap and I'm going to the dr. ASAP tomorrow.

So, now I've tried to reschedule and have "tentative" dates of 6-21 thru 24 at the BC CL standard view and then hopping over to................GF outer bldg garden view. UGH..................what am I thinking. I think I shouldn't have taken the codene cough syrup to mask my misery.

I'm laughing as we speak or else I'd cry. Hope the week gets better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness you are finding room to laugh. Nice that you can be flexible enough to reschedule. You will appreciate your vacation that much more after you get through all this.

We stayed at GF GV several times. Our favorite building to request is Sago Cay, Marina side (almost like having a lagoon view at a gv price) and Conch Key, Marina side. Hope you are feeling better!

At 7:31 of our family video we've got a compilation of Beach Club footage including the walk from the 1500s rooms to Epcot. We couldn't picture just how short this walk was until we got there. Thought some people would enjoy it.

So sorry about the run of bad luck but it is so aspiring to hear you keep a positive attitude. Someone sent me a pin on pinterest that says "sometimes you are delayed where you are because God knows there's a storm where your headed" and with my life changing so drastically this past 2 years and plans can change in a heartbeat I try to remember that.

We are going on the Dream on 8/19 and since we always fly in at least one day early when going on a cruise, we decided to fly in two days early this time and we're headed to our favorite resort - YC for two nights. I figured since we're going to be in Orlando anyway, why not stay where we like!

So..... headed to the YC 8/17.

Then we're headed back to the YC a week later (for 3 nights) after we leave the ship! Going to be a great vacation (I knew those APs we bought in Feb. would come in handy!).

I just wanted to share a little tid-bit of info I learned talking to some of the fabulous cast members at the Beach Club IPO office!

As you know, I had asked a few days ago about letting IPO do your ADRs and I am very hesitant to let go of my bookings. I decided to take a chance and will let everyone know how I make out (tomorrow is our 180 mark) and called in today to add the Chef's Table at Victoria & Alberts to our requests and was told that the IPO gets a jump start on booking ADRs. They get to start at 5:30 as opposed to the public getting a 6AM start online and 7AM phone booking.

I was extremely excited about that and felt more confident about them getting all our ADRs. I'll report back tomorrow once I hear from them how I made out!!
