I think you will be happy either way, what's not to love?
You know, my DH and I had that same conversation last night, over wine, regarding our GF portion of our stay. (We ended up switching to Poly... we would have just stayed at YC the whole 8 days, but then our plans would have been too messed up...)
See? Good decisions CAN be helped with a little sip or two!
Oh, and to all those who heard me worry about the construction at the BC/YC last year, I come to you humbly with my tail between my legs. That was NOTHING compared to what's going on w/ the GF right now!The CM I spoke to last night actually held back a little curse word when she saw the refurb list for our time there.
There's nothing to be ashamed of there. in 2009, I booked a GV at the GF, and on these boards, read about all kinds of construction going on there. Well, I obsessed and obsessed.....embarassingly....and day to day contemplated changing to Poly, CR, or somewhere else. In the end, I wrote an emal to guest services saying that it was a huge deal for me to be staying at the GF, and was there anything they could do to just keep us as far away from the construction as possible.
Well did they ever! We got bumped up to RPC with a gorgeous lagoon view of the Poly, beach and wedding chapel.
...and we've stayed CL ever since.

I can understand the obsessiveness. Disney trips are stressful! Not only do you want to be sure you'll be happy, you want to make sure those in your party are happy. I'm sure like many of you, your signifigant others, spouses, kids, etc. are looking for a bed to sleep in. By booking a resort like BC/YC/GF, you're asking them to spend a lot of money for a bed! You want them to feel like they've gotten their money's worth! A few years back, over the GF construction, I finally got all worked up and when someone asked me what the big deal is...really, the most honest answer I could give was, "I'm asking...(person A, B, and C) to spend $400 a night for a hotel room and I don't want them to feel ripped off!" That was the essence of it. So believe me, I understand getting worked up when you hear your resort is under refurb, or you missed a promotion or you wonder (like I am right now)...should I switch resorts for a possibly better deal.
