Universal has changed so much over the years it's good to see these commercials.My first visit was in 1992 during the second year of Halloween Horror Nights,and the first time it was called HHN as it was Fright Nights the first year.There was no parking garages back then just a regular parking lot right by the Universal Globe,the Back to the Future ride was the coolest thing out there with the longest waits and it was a totally different experience from Disney.My parents used to take us to Disney pretty regularly before Universal existed and even though I liked it,it was different than that first visit to Universal which I credit for getting me addicted to theme parks.My house in Miami got destroyed during hurricane Andrew in 1992 and going to Universal for the first time a month and a half later was like a break from that experience.Just seeing this new cool theme park and doing Horror Nights just changed me to the theme park geek I am today.I still love Disney and the other area parks and have annual passes to them but Universal is the one that really got me hooked so seeing these videos of the olden days was cool.

Its funny to me looking back on that...going "thats not there anymore" "thats not there anymore" "thats not there anymore"

yes, I know we miss some of the old attractions, but overall I think Universal has replaced all of their old attractions with at least as-good if not better replacements
