I found out a few things today

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you set up a character at WDW or Disneyland you get 3 things :


1. the Disneyland Pin 5/9
2. Mickeyears
3. you get a VMK logo and the tag Born at WDW


Can't wait until next trip!

I totally want to do this, but I love my user name "MagicKimdom" and don't want to lose it. (In fact, I wish I had thought of it when I made my DIS Board user ID, but c'est la vie.) Does anyone know if you can do something at WDW to give those perks to an existing character? I can live without the Born at WDW tag, but I'd love everything else!

Can someone please tell me how I can get an actual name as opposed to a guest No,? I'm sick of being guest number whatever............I want a proper name.

Can anyone help me here? It says you need your e-mail to register along with you real name.........I did all that & have been playing since my Friday (your Thursday) & still I'm a guest...........

I know it took a few days for my character name to finally show up , I just logged on and noticed I was no longer guestxxxxxx that I was disfaniam , so not sure how it works or how long it takes but everything I had collected from the time I joined was there.

Still haven't figured out the Pirate game but I like the Castle Fireworks. Have been finding Mickeys but glad to have the list now.

How do you set up a character in the parks?

Iwas just at WDW -- did not know about the one pin

I am snuggie at VMK -- I have yet to create a room!!

I have a sliver fireworks pin. . . .

I've found most of the Mickey's but I can't for the life of me figure out how to buy pins. I have a couple pins but I don't know how to buy them at Small world etc.

I like the fireworks and the jungle cruise games but I can't get the hang of the pirate game

I was able to get all 50 Mickeys (and found some new places like Star Traders)with the help of this thread. Thanks to everyone!

This looks so cool! I just signed up but... I keep getting my computer shutting down in the middle of things. I will sign in and then try to go to any area. And then boom!..This thing comes up and says"we are experiencing and error and must shut down windows"! Help! is it me and my computer or is it the game? Any suggestions?

Yeah, that was bothering me.......I thought I'd lost all my pins & stuff I'd collected since joining, but it's all there.

I'm now goldengirl.........FINALLY no more guest xxxxx

Ok, I don't get it. When I logged on this morning (like an hour ago) it asked me for a name........I gave them goldengirl heard nothing more, so assumed that was who I was from here on in.

But, when I type any messages I am still guest xxxxx

Too early to tell while they are still in beta and not many people have gone to the parks, but I do know some people who have traded to receive Mickey ears for park-goers; presumably you could do the same for the pin. Obviously that wouldn't work for the logo.

All you can do is wait for them to approve it. Patience. I wonder if there have been more people playing than they expected?

Double-click on the cash registers in the stores, and you'll get a purchase window. After you've done that once, you can access the store even if you aren't actually in the store. You probably already know, but after you get a pin, you double click the shirt symbol to wear it.

No problem. But I just remembered something: in Star Traders, I believe you double click on the weird alien thing instead.

I now have 49 Mickeys..........I know where the last one is, but everytime I take a pic of it, it never says it's a hidden one.

It's the one behind the sign above the stage in the Music game. I got the rooftop one ok, but the one behind the sign, never says it's a hidden one. I've tried taking it from all angles & still the same result.

It is on the grey wall isn't it, just beside the 2 sashes. That's the only one I've found in there anyway.

also it finally took though. This is a bug and the developer knows about it you may just have to wait until they figure out what the problem is.

I still have 2 that are giving me problems. But I am tired of wasting film so I am waiting til they figure it out.

Just a note for those who have been playing for a while. Go back and double click on the cash registers again. There are new items since I first did it that didn't show up until I went back and double clicked again.

Also, I don't remember getting 100 credits for the first song I mixed at the Music Game. However, I went in & created a new mix on Friday and got 100 credits for creating it and then another 100 for playing it. Maybe a new feature?

In addition to getting 10 credits every hour in the Music Game for playing a song, you can get 10 credits every day for mixing a new song or editing an old one.
