I need some help please.

I have several "old" tickets that do not have experation dates on them.

I know I can find out how many days are left when we get to the Parks, but I think I read here some where that if you have old tickets with days left on them, that you can bring them and I guess use them for credit towards new tickets.

Is this right? Some of them are childrens tickets and now my DS is 11, so I know there kind of useless.

Either way we are going to buy AP's but was wondering if these old tickets had any value.

Thanks, only 19 days to go. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yes they have value! As long as there are days left and there is no expiration, Disney will give you credit for them regardless if your son is now 11 and you bought when he was 7, or if they are X years old etc.

Best bet is to head to Guest Services; we go the day before we plan to enter a park. Takes less time. There is an office in DTD, too.

From what I read here, you son can still use the old (activated) child ticket. It may be worth more than upgrading to AP.
But if your family is going to use AP this year, you may be better off to keep it and upgrade to park ticket when your family does not use AP.

You can apply one old ticket towards the purchase of one new ticket. You cannot combine multiple old tickets towards any one new ticket.

On the contrary, not only are they not useless, they are still valid for admission for the child. Disney does not penalize children for growing up. You can just use the ticket as is for your 11 y.o. and no one will have a problem with it. Or you can take the child and the ticket to Guest Relations and they will reissue the unused admissions on the child ticket to an adult one at no charge.

A standard pre-2005 ticket (or a post-2004 ticket with non-expiration) is always worth its number of days to its original user without trading up or upgrading, regardless of when the user comes back to use the days.

It is not recommended to actually use up the remains of an old ticket when the vacation is 5 to 10 days long and also a new ticket of fewer than 10 days is bought to finish the vacation with.

Most of the time nowadays, for 5 to 10 day vacations, trading up old tickets towards new tickets is better than using old tickets as-is but not by much.
