I loved the ramake. it was alot better than the willy wonka older one...idk...this one was better...less creepy...more funny. Johnny Depp was amaizing in this...he can act out any part really...idk I just didn't like the older one!

I like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I thought it was a very good movie and Johnny Depp did a marvelous job! I didn't like the original. It was too boring to me. I don't like Gene Wilder. His acting does nothing for me. I've been a big fan of Johnny Depp when I first saw him in Edward Scissorhands when I was a child. I just can't get into anything Gene Wilder has done.

I hated the oompa loompas in the new one. They scared the crap out of me and I wanted to run away.

Other than the oompa loompas, the new movie was really funny!

I liked how it stayed true (sorta) to the book too. In the old one Charlie cheats and takes a drinnk of that stuff that makes you float ( I forget the name srry) and I absoulutly did NOT like that part (as well with the freaky tunnel of doom.)

Well, the old one did scare me, it was darker.
Jonny Depp(sp) made the film very funny, i liked how he was just, out there, lol

The new, oompa loompas were so funny, I think they were better than the old ones
And when I was watching the 10 best things about Charlie and the Chocoltae Factory it said that there was one actor who played all of the oompa loompas, i feel sorry for him, lol

overall, I liked the new one better because it didn't just leave u hanging at the end, they made an ending and you understood it

I really liked the orignal one and the remake looks really cool! It isn't out in London til 29th but when it's out i'm going to see it. It looksl like a lot of fun

Oh my gosh. I HATE the older one more than pretty much ANYTHING! I HATE it SO MUCH! I usually like disturbing things, but that was just TOO MUCH. The Oompha Loomphas (or whatever) SCARE ME. I have NIGHTMARES about them.

I DO NOT want to see the new one. Not only will it give the whole movie money, it just looks TOO stupid. It always has disturbed me, it always will.

Now that I have seen the new movie I like them both but I still don't understand why Tim Burton had to direct it. I think he made it to dark for the story. I read the book many times and I don't see "dark" in it at all.

Not Charlie and the chocolate Factory.. from what i heard this movie is the sequel to Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory because you know in the end of that movie charlie wins the contest and takes over the factory... and now this dude is i think charlie other wise it wouldnt be called charlie and the chocolate fatory...

Wrong... It's not the sequal... If you've seen any previews you would know. The book was originally called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... Not willy Wonka... And the new one is closer to the book than the original movie was... Which is why I like it better

Speaking of Oompa Loompas...

I read this interview with the guy who played ALL 165 Oompa Loompas!!! And they didn't multiply him by computer to make it look like there was 165 of him - he actually did each scene 165 times - playing each oompa loompas roll. Isn't that awesome?!

I agree, they're both very different. But overall, I liked the original better. And am I the only one here who actually LIKED the tunnel scene in the original? I always thought that scene was so cool.

If you read what I wrote you would know that what you just said made NO sense. I know what I'm talking about because I'm not stupid. I said I didn't like WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY because it was nothing like the book it was based on - CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.... and that I liked CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY because it was closer to the original book... read better next time you come on here and criticize my intelligence.
