Hiya everyone I've not been on this site for ages been busy having my new little princess Lottie Grace (from princess & the frog )) she's now 5 month old and really looking forward to her first trip to wow in September where she'll celebrate her first birthday xxxxx

We're all booked and now need to put my dis hat back on a start the planning best part ha
Have to admit though seen the new planning aps and magic bands with fast pass this scares the heck out of me looks so complicated .....

Any good introduction made simple ha

Can't help that much with your questions as I haven't been yet (2015 trip on the cards). But just wanted to say 'hello' as I remember you from the Paris section on here .

It's a minefield planning a trip isn't it. The thing is, the scale of the place and the amount it costs means you really feel you have to plan to get the best out of the trip.

Hope your DD has an amazing first birthday there .

I am currently sat at the outside bar at the Brown Derby waiting for our table reservation so thought I would give you my findings with the magic bands and fast pass+. We have been here since New Year's Eve checked into Old key west and wasn't really sure about how it worked. I have to say it's really easy.
You can either use your smart phone (I have iPhone and IPad ) and once registered you can select fast passes for any day you want to be in the parks. I think you also can book before you arrive but we never know what we are doing until the night before it even the morning You can also book far passes at the terminals where the old fast pass machines where.

We have got fast passes every day for everything we wanted and even the times we wanted. For example last night we said let's go to HS tomorrow opened up the app and got afternoon fast pass for tower of terror and toy story. You are allowed 1 power fast pass and 2 others. You get 4 selections ie different times different order etc once you are happy you confirm.

We have managed the fast passes as well when in the park change for different rides or different times without a problem.

The nice thing for us is we checked out of OKW and into boardwalk and got second bands. Both of which work so you can mix and match. We check into BLT Monday and will get a third band

There have been streams of reports on the use of MB's, FP+ and other aspects of the new system over the past months. This recent overview pretty much sums up what the majority have been reporting, but it is probably the best written review I have read yet.

We loved the Magic Bands in Nov/Dec and had no problems with them at all. As already said they are easy to use and we also just went into MDE every night and changed or got our FP's for the following day with no problems but we wasn't there during a busy time apart from Thanks Giving when we did have probs getting the FP's we wanted for the next day!! We found the Magic Bands comfortable and loved them because we didn't have to rummage around for cards all the time and then collect them back up again!

We love the MagicBands too when we were out in November.
Sat in bed at POR in the morning & making selections for that day.
If you are going in busier times we found rides like TSM get booked up quite quickly so I'd advise putting priority rides in in advance.
