Old Key West question

This may seem like a strange question but here goes. We are a group of 7 women who will be staying in a 2 bedroom villa at Old Key West. One person is going to have to sleep on the sofa bed so we were thinking about just rotating so that no one had to do it all the time. But I'm wondering about the single chair that can be made into a bed. Is it possible that we could move it into the master bedroom so that no one has to sleep in the living room? I've been there before but I don't really remember a chair that makes into a bed.

Take the 2 chairs out of the NBR and put them into the livingroom and then take the livingroom chair that opens into a bed and put it into the MBR. It might be a little tight but it will fit. It would be right up under the windows in the MBR.

If I were in a group like that I would beg to sleep by myself in the living room!

My aunt, who is 68 and has lots of aches and pains, got the BEST sleep on that fold-out chair (she refused to take a bed), she really thought it was comfy.

Sleeping in the living room could be a godsend. It worked really well for my friend and I (we were in a 1br). Even with the giant bed, I'm an insomniac and a bit of a...violent...sleeper. We rotated halfway through. If someone is sick, or will be up later than the others, or snores, you may rethink someone sleeping alone. That being said, we moved the pullout sofa and the sleeper chair and housekeeping was fine with it, but if you move stuff from room to room, I'd say be kind and move it back before you go.

I'd be the one claiming for the sofa bed to myself! I ha e trouble sleeping in the same bed as my DH. Idk why but it's hard for me to sleep with someone else in the bed.

That chair is awfully heavy, I'd think. I don't see how you'd move it without possibly scratching floors/walls.

At any rate, I think having people spread out in multiple rooms is a good thing.

please don't. that's likely to cause extra wear and tear that the owners are going to have to pay for...

Nope, you cannot move the sleeper chair from the living room to the master bedroom. It is much too bulky to move and you could damage the walls while you were trying to do all that moving. It won't fit through the space at the end of the bed to get it over near the windows without moving the entire bed. There really isn't that much room left in the master bedroom to put the chair anyway.

You could bring an twin sized aerobed and possibly put that in the master bedroom, though.

Unless you own that personal villa, don't move the furniture around to different rooms. Members who own there will have to pay for your damages.

Both the sofabed and chair bed are new, since the whole resort has been renovated. DH and DS slept on the sofabed and had no complaints.

I guess the only issue you might have is the early risers disturbing the person sleeping in the LR but don't worry about comfort.

That's a fine idea.....if it's really important to avoid having anyone sleep in the living room, an aerobed can be easily moved around and propped up against the wall during the day so people aren't having to step over it.

I can vouch that a twin airbed works in the master bedroom. I have done it many times at various DVC villas for my dd, and it always fit nicely, esp at OKW which has the most spacious rooms.

As others have said, chair/beds are heavy and it might fit but it would be a total pain and possibly damaging to move it. I'd bring an airbed if you as a group are adverse to having anyone sleeping in the living room. You can buy a Coleman brand twin airbed with a battery operated pump for around $30 total at Wal Mart or Target. Just bring your own fitted sheet and top sheet, there are blankets and pillows for it for the sofa bed and those are usually in the laundry room if memory serves.

I just got back from OKW in a 2 bedroom where we had 7 adults and one 14y/o in an adult sized body I took the sleeper chair and I have to say I found it quite comfy. We had two couples out of the deal, so one couple took the master, and the other couple took the sofa bed in the living room and the 14 y/o had the option of an airbed in the master. I think it worked out quire well, though as I am a light sleeper I did wake up when the first person came out for coffee around 6:30 am. And as a PP mentioned please don't scuff up the nice new floors and the walls, we do incur those costs eventually in our dues. Have a great time!
