How does the OKW rate for children, mainly do they have a nice pool? Also I saw somewhere that there is no package delivery from the parks to OKW. Is that true? Thanks in advance.

First Welcome to the DIS!!!!

Not to sure about the Packages.

But about the resort its fine for kids. They have a couple of pools and each one has a playground. The only thing is the main pool does not have a slide like most resorts. There is also a clubhouse where the kids can play color and good stuff like that.

We took our kids there not quite 2 years ago....kids were 7 and 2 at the time. My DS-7 just loved it which surprised me! He loved having a large one bedroom and he never complained about the pool not having a slide. Now he is my water baby and I was very hesitant on staying here because he really lives for the resort pools! We only went to the 'main' pool twice because there was just no reason to go there when we had a quite pool right by our room. We're going to AKL in 2 weeks and he'll still tell me today that OKW was his favorite. We stayed at the YC last year and it has storm-a-long-bay, which he liked but he'll choose OKW. I can't figure it out!

We stayed at OKW in Feb. 2001, with 2 ds's 2 and 3 at the time. We always used the quiet pools for swimming. There is a nice play area at the main pool next to the boat area. And yes packages do get delivered back for you. We are going back in Oct. and decided to split our stay this time to try out a wilderness cabin. Our ds's are very active so we like to have all the space these resorts offer. Hope this helps.

Package delivery is available at OKW. The packages are delivered to the General Store and you pick them up there.

OKW is perfect for families! We have 2 children (ages 1 and 3) and I thought the pool was great! Also they DO have package delivery because we used it twice.

I can't think of one negative thing to say about OKW! It's my new favorite.

I'm glad to hear positive things about OKW because we have rented vacation points for November. I have heard a few different things, some being negative. I was a little nervous but feel better now.

To Darlene Walker - FW cabins are our absolute favorite place to stay. It is so quiet there & there is a lot to do. There is an awesome housekeeper that works in the 2500 loop - Isabel. Check out the campfire program one night. The have a great buffet breakfast at Trail's End. You can go to the marina at night & see the Electric Water Pageant & if you time it right you can see the MK fireworks.

It's a great place to stay.
