Think the SSR last 5 has to do with the refurb and building up the cash reserve for that or the fact that its so dang big and DVC only that it gets hit harder with increasing personnel costs?

Guessing most likely the latter since OKW is going up the most of the WDW resorts as well but its not had a hard refurb like SSR.

I think OKW completed a hard refurb just before the pandemic.

Just reviewing our OKW documents that DVC sent us for our new contract and they reference “Disney Vacation Club” rather than saying “Old Key West”. Our RIV contract explicitly had “Riviera” in it.

anyone know why this is like this? Is it because that is what OKW’s original name was back in the 90’s?

Yes, and it is still the legal name of the condominium association.

A lot of the increase is due to paying cast members higher wages. OKW and SSR resorts are 100% DVC no hotel side to split up costs. Also both are large spread out resorts which have a lot of CM’s to maintain the property. Unlike most other DVC’s which are one building with very little to maintain.
