Old Key West no more Boat Rentals??

Does anyone know why they stopped this??

It has been several years and at multiple resorts. I don’t know if anyone but Disney knows “ why”. But what difference does that make?

Its been quite a while. I did one several years ago. It was great fun. I’m guessing it just got too dangerous with the narrow banks and the many boats going to DS.

I think at the time they stopped them, they were doing all the renovations at Disney Springs.

I know there was an accident between a rented boat and a transportation boat where there were serious injuries a few years back. Maybe they dont want the liability anymore.

Disney removed watercraft rentals from the Sassagoula River Resorts,POR,CBR and CSR several years ago.

I don't think Disney has ever given a reason.
