Doesn't matter to me. I haven't eaten anywhere in NY NY, so it doesn't matter. Stacie ate at Il Fornaio last time she was there and said it was really good, with yummy drinks. That's how we ended up there.

This is the menu at Nine Fine Irishmen: http://www.nynyhotelcasino.com/files/menu_nfi_2009.pdf

And for Il Fornaio: http://www.ilfornaio.com/?page=140&id=137&restaurant_id=3163

The menu at Nine Fine Irishmen is a little bit foreign to me. LOL I know what pasta is, I don't know what a banger is. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
BUT I am easy and whatever the group wants, I will follow. :goodvibes

Hey, you beat me to it! I was going to post that the new season starts tonight. I saw your tag, but wasn't sure if you were still into it.

We watch all the Discover stuff. Ice Road Truckers, Dirty Jobs, etc.

Oh, and dinner for me will probably be a Lean Cuisine. YAY!!

Not.

Everything sounds good to me. I'm a bit lost right now - but point me in the right direction and I'm good to go :woohoo:
Stick with me kid, you'll be fine. Remember you can trust me. ;) :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

Wow Beth.. i didn't know all about that with the elfs.. that's why if i want to do a exchange i just pm and say heyyyyyy let's do a exchange!:rotfl:

Maybe the girls only group is too big to do an exchange in?:confused3

For me, yes. I would rather do it with our Vegas group. Just my 2c.

:thumbsup2

Well, why don't we keep Thursday night and Friday night free then and not book or reserve anything? We can still look for Tony and Tina's Wedding tickets as I think that's a great group show, but we'll look for them that week at a discount.
And then on Friday we can just see what is offered on the Strip discount booths, and/or in my emails. Sound good? :confused3

Section 204 was one of the sections I suggested as well. I'd go for it.

Sounds good, Beth.

Yes, Stacie, I hope you're not waiting for all of us to approve. Thank you and let us know whether you want Paypal or check or money order.

I will eat at whichever place the group prefers too but would probably pick the Irish place over the Italian. (bangers are sausages) ;) I think this is the same Il Fornaio chain we have in SoCal. Also like the idea of a view as the Irish place says from the website:

"Live free. Dine Well. Drink good beer. Inspired by a group of extraordinary Irishmen who led lives of great adventure, this is a pub of epic proportions starring a grand Victorian-style bar, ornate cottage areas, shop-style snugs, and two levels of outdoor patio dining with a spectacular Las Vegas Strip view. As for food and drink, our chef feverishly worked to create tempting signature dishes made of only the freshest, natural Irish ingredients. Pair these with the finest stouts, ales, lagers, spirits, music, and entertainment by special guest artists and you've got yourself a little piece of the Emerald Isle in the heart of Las Vegas!"

Guess where else I found the Rosa today? At Trader Joe's. I don't know if this SoCal chain is only in California... or whether it's throughout the west now. It's a grocery store unlike any other, on the smaller side, with great bargains and many items that are their own brand.

They have a big liquor dept and they had the standard size bottles for $17.99 plus about $1.60 tx.

Theresa, did you find a place to ship to Canada yet?

I know! Maybe we can do both places. They are both in NY NY. I just don't think there is much on the Irish menu I'd eat. I don't eat pork and I think most sausage is made with that. Not sure if bangers are. :confused3

Or if everyone is down with the Irish men, I totally don't mind grabbing something from the food court while y'all are in there, and catching up with you later. I'm fine with that. In fact, I'd rather do that, than keep anyone from eating where they really want because of my picky taste in food. kwim?

Oh, and about the exchange it's no problem to do it with a large group. I've done it lots of time. No worries! In fact, it's more fun that way. :dance3: I love reading about all the different packages everyone receives. :goodvibes

She did. :thumbsup2

We have Trader Joes here. I was there just last weekend. We love their kettle corn popcorn. popcorn::

Speaking of the exchanges, I heard from Mary Jo and she said it's fine to post the exchange thread on the new DL community board, and then just state that it's open to all members (new and old) of the ladies trips.

So we can start off with a "Fun in the Summer Sun" theme anytime y'all are ready. If we start sign ups now, then packages will arrive in mid May just in time for most schools to be out. :thumbsup2

Yes, I did :woohoo: Beth posted a link on the other thread and I checked and one of the places there will ship to Canada and the prices are pretty reasonable. I'm so excited :yay:

I'm good with wherever - I've never been to either, so it's all good and whatever the majority wants, I'm in. Beth, I did see there was mac and cheese and some other things at the Irish pub too (and beer and cheese dip :lovestruc).

Beth, did you see if that Trader Joe's has Rosa Regale? Maybe when we pick up stuff for the hotel, we can go there and get a bottle (or two, or three ;)) with our other "necessities".

Nope, at the time I didn't think to look there. But it's not far from here so I will check next time we go. I've got three place to check; Trader Joes, Costco, and a place called Lee's Discount Liquor. Not sure when I'll be able to get to all those places, but once I do, I'll post what I find. :thumbsup2

Alright.. i made the cake to just try it out.. and i'm going to use the cream cheese frosting that you all voted on!:rotfl2: I liked the chocolate with the bananna flavor.. but my DH liked the cream cheese..so His vote with yours won out!:goodvibes

I only suggested 9 Fine Irishmen because it's got such a fun atmosphere.

Hey Dawn!!! How ya doing????? I'm excited to do an exchange. It's not very summery here yet, but hopefully soon! The pool is looking good (a little too cold still ). Jesse desperately wanted to go swimming on the weekend, but I think he would have got hypothermia if he tried (he even got into his swimsuit and got his flippers and snorkle ready to go - dipped in his toe and ran for the hills :lmao:). He's funny!

Big Hugs for Miss CheryL and Theresa!:grouphug:

And La Princessa! Have safe travel and lots of fun on your vegas trip!

I'm excitted about the exchange too.. it should be alot of fun!:goodvibes

Oh sure, it looks like lots of fun! I'm open to it. I mean, if I can't eat anything there, I can grab a drink and still visit with ya'll, or like I said, grab something elsewhere and meet up later.

Don't let my pickyness influence what the groups wants to do. ;)

Well, think of summer and then send items like that. In the last summer themed one I did, I received a beach towel, beach ball, flip flops, lemonade, some garden sticks, some ice cream toppings, and a summer Disney pin. It was fun.
