Old Dixie Landings Refillable Resort Mugs????

:lmao: Those are the dis-ers who lurk until someone posts about using refillable mugs on multiple trips - or in the new version, a family of four buys just two mugs and... gasp... shares

Oh, the horror... it is seen as "cheating disney"... but apparently only on the dis... hence the mug police appear in stormtrooper fashion to flame all nearby and ensure that everyone buys their own mug every trip, need it or not... they are the stuff of fantasy and completely fictional... well... most days anyway... :rolleyes1

Let's not turn this thread into something that it wasn't intended for. Can we please stop the namecalling and sarcasm right now? It's not any nicer to refer to people as "mug police" than it is to call someone a "soda cheat".

Sorry, guess I should have resisted. I didn't plan on namecalling and would never single anyone out. Actually, I'm sort of hard pressed to remember even one of those folks right now but certainly don't like them any less. In the long run, it doesn't make that lasting an impact on me and I never meant any harm.

I'm just really amused by the mug/photopass/firdge/stroller sharing, pool hopping, too old for stroller indignation threads. You know what they say "little things amuse little minds". Some days that's me... :flower3:

Uh-oh! I am in big trouble if sarcasm isn't allowed on the boards anymore. ;)

Anyone here know why anyone would pay thay much?? Thanks!!

I can only answer for myself. I would not sell our Dixie Landings yellow Mickey mug for anything. Well, maybe $100 or more.:thumbsup2
But I doubt I would pay someone $50 for them.

We love those mugs!

I think if we were on a bus ride together, or sitting next to each other at a bar, we'd get along famously!! You are TOO funny!!

Back on topic... Thanks for the thread OP. I think I've discovered a new item to buy at yardsales and list on ebay. That makes two new "collectibles" to search for this month - mugs and vintage slot car sets. :thumbsup2

I just did a search for mugs on ebay and didn't see any old resort mugs listed at all but do remember last year there was a WL mug like our dear friends use for coffee each morning that brought over a hundred dollars. He emailed me the link and I was shocked when I saw it but just assumed it was because of the older WL design itself and somebody - like my friends - needed to replace their own lost/worn mug for sentimental reasons.

We still have our 25th Anniversay mugs that were good forever. They're packed with my camping equipment.

Were those mugs really good forever? Because I still have mine! It was sparkly with a blue top and I even remember getting free refills in the parks with it.

Plus he loved the whole Dixie Landings theme and turns out we even have a set of the shorter fatter mugs with brier rabbit on them....so we're keepin' them, and although I was a bit excited about the money at first...I am cool with it. Thanks guys!

Wow I bet those are even a bit more collectible.
