Old Disney Park photos

So, what did Pluto say after tasting your head? Delicious? Bad?:rotfl:
here are the ones from 1995!

no idea what the last one is. I remember it made me cry hysterically when it came close to me though.

My childhood best friend and me (in the back waving), July 1989, the year MGM opened..I loved this park then, my friend, not so much, she was a thrill junkie, no thrilling rides then..but we had fun...I mostly remember us flirting and hunting for cute boys..ah, memories

The top, my best friend MGM 1989, the bottom, July 1993, me and my brother, in front of my absolute favorite ride, and my heart is still crushed from its removal, I still cry in front of Test Track to this day!

I feel your pain. TT isn't even a shadow of WOM. The first time I rode it, it was BOOORING. I felt like I was in a GM commercial. Never went on it again. One of the most overrated attractions Disney ever put up.

Probably the best thread on here!!! I went my first time in 1988 around christmas time. I'll have to ask my mom to check out those photos!! These bring back a lot of memories.

Here are a few that I posted to a thread on the Dis Photography board, all made with the Kodak Pocket 30, 110 format slide:

Considering the age (30+ years), the medium (110 format) and the conversion method (see below), I'm pretty happy with them.

I just found this thread and enjoying every post. I forgot all about the swan boats. What years did they run and where did they go?

Redundant, but noted again, in case anyone is interested in trying this method:

Conversion method: projection onto 20" X 30" foam core board, using Kodak Carousel slide projector, captured using Nikon D50 dSLR, 18-135mm lens, ISO 200, f/7.1 aperture, shutter set by camera, based on CW average auto-metering. Some PP (crop, sharpen, straighten, adjust WB, adjust contrast) done in Picasa2. How's that for el-cheapo (Nikon equipment notwithstanding)?

I have so enjoyed this thread! I especially love seeing the rides that no longer exist. Can't wait to see more. Can anyone suggest other threads with vintage WDW photos?

I love this thread! I've finally made enough posts to add some photos of my own. These are both from 1987

Me and my cousin with Mickey...as you can tell I was mesmerized:lovestruc

And this is a picture of my family...I have no idea where we were standing...anyone know?

I have more pics...I just need to scan them! :goodvibes

This was my first Disney visit and it was in 1984. This was at the Magic Kingdom. I visited quite a lot as a child, because I lived about 45 miles away from the place.

I want to say walking away from Tomorrowland towards the hub. In the background to the left you can see the white support for the pre-"tomorrow that never was" WEDWAY, and the tile mosaic in the majority of the background looks like it could be the old waterfall slope that went from the roof down into the moat.

While i don't really have a lot of memories of the tilework, it seems like the most obvious answer to the location issue due to the WEDWAY support beam and fact the railing strongly hints at your being on a bridge.

My old Disney park pictures are at my parents' house, but I do have some old Disney tickets scanned - they were my parents', when they went for their honeymoon.

Can you believe that 1-day park admission was only $13??? And EPCOT wasn't even open yet!

I also hate that they changed the "adult" age to 10 years old!! Since when are you considered an adult at 10? My daughter is 10 this year, so we have to pay the adult price. That's just crazy if you ask me... Apparently they used to know that childhood lasts longer.

That was great seeing that admission ticket and the price.
Also interesting breakfast on the Empress Lilly steamboat.
