Old Disney Park photos

Going through scanning today...here's numero uno from my 1st trip in 1980. Note that the shoreline at Disney Village (now Marketplace) has changed...slightly. Do the characters still come out in front of the castle (other than shows)? RIP poor 20,000 Leagues.
I was a "DIS-er" before anyone...starting the trend with a green Mickey ears hat in 1980!...lol

OMG!! I love the Doug Show...I would LOVE for them to bring that back. It was the best. I hate what is there now. They really need to do something about that spot.

1984, Contemporary Tower-check out the bed spread.
View of Bay Lake and swimming in it again-now outlawed. I spent hours just watching the monorails go through at night. Check out the map on the wall in the room and the old school TV.

From 1983.
Character breakfast on the riverboat at Disney Village, canoeing at Fort Wilderness, I'm guessing these cabin/trailers at Fort Wilderness are no more, swimming in Bay Lake-which is now outlawed due to fungus in the water...I survived fortunately. Chip & Dale campfire movie at the end.

I love the Mickey and Donald peeking out from the bunk bed!

Photos from 1984, I was 12 on a solo trip with my grandparents:

Geez, was I not cheesy, especially in those sock! LOL

just thought i would let you know that that train has been sitting out in the cast memeber parking lot collecting dust and weather damage for a while. along with wilsons plane and other random items removed from the parks.

And this young lady who was 12 at the time this picture was taken is now.................TA DAH!................ Drum roll please!!!! 40 years old!

(Footnote: Pun intended, she is wearing Dr. Scholl's sandals which were all the rage then!)

And for people who complain today that maintenance has deteriorated in the parks look at all the peeling paint shown here.
