I never saw that pink castle in person but it sure is pretty

Woah! I didn't even know there was a Old Park Photo thread!

My first trip to WDW was in 1990 and we only went to EPCOT for the day. As I go through my photo album, I see that it cost $27.16 a ticket and that oddly enough, I didn't take very many pictures. What was wrong with me??

That could be part of it. How much easier things are today! But I'm afraid I can't blame that for all of it; I have well over 20 pictures of Cypress Gardens.

I blame it on having Disneyland right down the freeway and going there at least four times a year. (Then; now I'm an AP and go about 20 a year!)

Or maybe I was more of a "flowers" girl then?

Let's see some of the older pictures people have of Disney World. I would love to see some pics of 20,000 league's under the sea, or the special cable ride from tomorrowland to fantasyland. I totally forgot the name of it.. I just miss the old disney, I love the new disney but growing up spending time with my dad and brother and just being a kid.. Oh I miss that so much..

I'm 99% sure this is the ride from fantasyland to tomorrowland... my mom and I back in, um, let's say 1989? 1990?

Is that all WDW? it looks kind of like DLR or maybe WDW Fanatsyland went under drastic changes.

DS still loves the Simpsons!

Big people and kids still wait in long, long lines to ride little, slow cars along a railed race track! (DS only stopped riding it when he was 13. Guess it was practice for that Learner's Permit!)

And big people and kids still wait in long, long lines to ride an elephant that soars into the wind for a few brief moments....DS even rode it when he was 11! (Guess it was more practice for that Learner's Permit!)

Wow those boats on the Jungle Cruise still look the same..

Here are a couple fuzzy ones from 1971. I was 3 and one of my earliest memories is from this trip. I had a stuffed Pluto doll and Goofy came over and took the doll (in an attempt to be funny and cute, he put "baby Pluto" over his shoulder as if he was burping a baby). This was absolutely horrifying to then-three-year-old me.

There are better pics in my mom's photo albums. I got stuck with the dregs for now. Maybe I can get her to let me have the pics to scan in soon.

I sure wish Gus still made appearances!
