Old Disney Park photos

I found a picture of our second trip to Disney December 1972. I was three and my brother was 6 in this picture. My Dad didn't take a lot of pictures of us kids, so we don't have many with us actually in them! Apparently, the sun was in our eyes! My brother is wearing an Evil Kenievel jacket! Cool!!! And, I have a very unfortunate haircut!

I wish I knew how to scan and download. I was there opening day and got some really neat pics, esp with the characters. Sept 1971!! materdawg

OH you HAVE to get those scanned! It's really easy to do! Grab someone and have them show you how!

Have a few pics myself of "extra" children in our Disney vacation photos. I like the set up now of waiting to see the characters versus walking up willy nilly. I am sure there are positives and negatives to both. But there were many times that adults would cut right in front of me as a kid!

At DLP most of the character greets are still mayhem!

Brack I actually found the shot of me with some characters where adults hedged into the shot! Will post tonight after the kids get down to bed. I knew I wasn't crazy and there was a lady who just wouldn't get out of the picture!

My son saw that picture and goes: "Is that Grandma?" Response: "Nope, no idea who that is!"

I know that this not that old (2003) but it may show what it was like in the old days before queues for the characters. This is me at DLP.

For WDW's 25th anniversary (1996), the Cinderella Castle was decorated like a birthday cake. A LOT of weddings were cancelled because many couples didn't want to get married in front of a pink cake castle. In early 1998, the castle was transformed back into its original state.

LOL! I'm the opposite. I think it looks better painted than with the candies on it.

Finally had time to scan some photos of character mayhem and a few other goodies from the eighties!

Me enjoying a Dole Whip circa 1987-88 not sure which.

This lady just wouldn't get out of the photo, though I am sure she looks at her version and says "That kid wouldn't get out of my photo!"

More character mayhem!

Apparently Disney has always had a thing for garrish cakes!
