Old Disney Commercials You'd Love to See Again

You'll have to let your captive audience know what you find out from Disney, ZZUB. I think you at least owe that to us. You know, for bumping and all.

And posting recipes.

Hope you can get your hands on it.

Zzub - I have a buttload of old VHS Disney movies AND I have almost every Travel Channel special on VHS as well. Which one are you looking for again, please? I'll see if I have it. If I do, I think I can burn it to cd and then I will need help posting it on here. It took me FOREVER just to learn to post a pic!

Tink: Thanks for looking for me. It's a mom and dad with a little girl. They check into what purports to be a Disney hotel room (but if you saw the commercial you would quickly recognize it is not a room on Disney property). The little girl then goes into the bathroom and changes into her Cinderella dress. She comes out and asks, "how do I look?" The mom and dad tell her she looks beautiful and then they head off to the MK where, if memory serves, she meets Cinderella and gives her a big hug. It's a very sweet commercial for mammas and daddies who think their little girl is growing up on them.

Also: if you run into any of the "Goodnight Walt" commercials, they're pretty awesome as well.

'preace your efforts.

Okay, I have good news and I have bad news.

Neither one really has to do with my recent findings in regards to your search so I'll save that for later. I did some research last night during Family Movie Night at the LaLa house and although I didn't find your sweet commercial for Mamas and Daddies with babies that are growing up way too fast for their tastes, I did find something interesting.

The We're Too Excited to Sleep commercial is on the Lilo and Stitch DVD. It was released in 2002. So they were definitely putting some of the classic Disneyworld commercials on their DVDs in that time period. Yeah, I know, the opposite of help. Sorry. But I plan on checking out the Country Bears DVD which was released somewhere around the same time. I'm sure it'll be a no go, but I'll check anyway. Oh, you can cross Beauty and the Beast off the list. As well as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. And Fahrenheit 911. But that's for a totally different reason.

So which do you want first, the good news or the bad news? Oh, everybody always wants the bad first. So I'll just go with that. The bad news is that when I logged on today, you were below the following threads...

Bush the Masseur (yeah, what's that about? )

The Circumcision thread

Tankinis For Real Women

Are Cupcakes Better Than Real Cakes

The good news is that now you're not.

And since Master G is a quitter and Mel is too busy trying to become a man, albeit a very sweet man, I'll keep looking for you Z. La's got your back.

Feeling a lot less said today thanks to some really good friends,

Your buddy,

La2

I've got copies of my favorite series, "Magic Happens". The dad with the kids re enacting "Lion King" while mom was out, the older couple with the Donald Duck speak, the 'Goodnight, Walt' and a few others.

My absolute favorite is "He got me a shoe", and a coworker and I would comment on how cute it was. One day, she came in and said, 'she didn't marry him'. I was confused, so she told me that the girl who got the shoe got married to some other guy and was having a baby! Ends up she was in the commercial for the GE 4D ultrasound where you can see the baby really well.

I also rmember a commercial with this big burly mean looking bicker type guy I really don't remember it well but they kept showing him and he was looking mean and at the end of the commercial he turns and this little girl takes his finger and they walk (or skip) across the lobby of I think the GF.

The Circumcision thread

Tankinis For Real Women

Are Cupcakes Better Than Real Cakes

Where to begin? As badly as I want to find this commercial, I will not buy, nor watch the Lilo & Stich DVD. That movie was so lame. I oppose it. So I'm glad to learn that the commercial in question was not to be found on it. I fell out of my chair when I read the crack about F9/11. That's my kind of comedy.

As for this thread, "Are Cupcakes Better Than Real Cakes?" Why are people even debating this topic? They're both good for different reasons. One is not better than the other. Duh! Will people debate any topic or do they just love to bicker? I hate bickering. It's so hateful and unnecessary. Like the red stripe in Aquafresh.

I think I am going to be in WDW when ZZUB is there.
How will I get a nod in his sure-to-please TR? :confused3

Any and all ideas are appreciated. :thumbsup2

Now just wait one cotton pickin' minute (which is much longer than a regular non-manual labor type minute).

I decide to poke my head into this farce of a thread and am rewarded by having my name dragged through the virtual mud?

My honor has been abused and I demand satisfaction.

As the recipient of the mud dragging, I claim aggrieved status and the right to choose the weapons.

Obscure references at 10 paces. Dawn, next Tuesday morning. I would say monday, but I have a dentist appointment.

Now, about this phantom commercial...I told you I found several others. I get no credit for that?

I'll look again...whiner.

MG~

I gotta say dude. You're not trying hard enough.

I KNOW exactly which commercial the dearly departed is looking for.

But.

I won't tell.

'Cause he bickers too much. :teeth:

And likes pork.

The only reason you know the commercial is because you have spent so much time in his brain.

And for that you have my deepest sympathies.

Nuh-uh!!!

It's 'cause I know that he knows that I know that he knows that I know that he loves me!!!!

ZZUB, I benember that one. Love it! I will check our extensive DVD collection for it.

Is everybody (not the quitters or the whiners, but the people actually searching) looking not only in the previewthatyoumustendureinordertogettothefeaturepresentation but also in the bonus material? It would be very Disney to hide a little gem like that in the extra stuff.

To intensify the brainwashing, after all.

My favorite, btw, is the too excited to sleep. And the other one (might be the same one??) where the big brother is helping his little brother (who's never been to WDW) pack, and telling him all about it. "Goofy? He's HUGE! He could beat up dad!"

Or something like that.

I love that one too Kim. And guess what? It's on the Lilo and Stitch DVD. I just found that out last night. And although I don't want to bicker with ZZUB about it, since he obviously is feeling unnecessarily hateful towards it, we actually kind of like it. Maelstrom too. And Epicot. Okay, it's definitely no Epicot or even Maelstrom for that matter, but some parts of it are actually pretty darn funny. Give it another shot Z. Or put me on Ignore.

Either way.

Welcome Home.

Thanks for pointing that out about the Bonus Features Kim.

The search continues...

And Master G is still slacking. But he's funny while he's slacking. I think he gets points for that. Or not. Whatever.

I've seen that one! I'm not sure if I have it, but I'll do my best to find it for you.

P.S. Give Master G a break. He's still recovering from reliving the leg waxing. And the rooster. (Oh, nevermind.)

Well now I really do need to go look for the cupcake thread.

I've just spent three hours of my life online looking for this commercial. Because I know it exists. I'm now off to search the tapes and DVD's.

I have 2 observations to share.

1. I find myself a bit odd at this moment for spending so much time looking for something for someone that I have never "met", but feel as if I know. Anyone else?

2. Cut MG slack, for Heaven's sake. I saw where the retrojunk website was in the Google search. It was at LEAST on page 10. So he DID try.

I'm off to scavenge food and watch hours of Disney. Poor, poor pitiful Tink. ;)

AHA!!!
I found you all.
Mel and Z...you were busy over here and missed my birthday

Z I am looking for your video
No luck yet

or should I tell you which one I like instead of what you asked for?

ZZUB.

Go ahead and cross Aladdin off the list too. I checked that one and it's not on there either.

Wait. Lemme guess. You opppose that one too? Figures. I think you just want to bicker at this point.

Lion King 2 was also a waste of time. In both regards.

The search continues.

I'm right there with ya. I need a life too. And if ZZUB wasn't so sweet, I'd have given up long ago. But he's a pretty cool guy and I know why it means something to him. I think. So I'll keep looking. For him. But just pace yourself Tinkinadrink. Don't go all commando and give yourself seizures from staring at the screen too long. Take a break and put your feet up. And drink ten glasses of water. Doctor's orders. ;)

And Briarmom, I would tell you to do what everybody else plans on doing and look for a Vote for Pedro tshirt but frankly, I'm starting to believe there may not even be a ZZUB. So I say enjoy your trip and don't waste your time. Because I think maybe he's just a figment of our imaginations. Much like the elusive Cinderella commercial.

Does Poohnatic's avatar really freak anybody else out or is it just me?
