Help! Does anyone remeber an old Cheap Trick video from the 80s where they were singing in an empty room and they had these lights swinging over thier heads? It's driving me crazy!

Took your advice...just googled, "Cheap Trick, swinging lights" and there it was! If You Want My Love. Watched the video and everything! You all are the best!

I remember the video well because it was one of the first videos that MTV played when they first started out. The name of the song is "If you want my love" and it came from the album One on One.

I saw Cheap Trick open for KISS in 1979.

Saw them open for Heart here in Seattle on New Year's Eve during Heart's Brigade tour. One of my favorite concerts ever. Cheap Trick was on quite the roll then too having just had a hit with The Flame.

It was great to have seen them, and their two encores, and still had an entire Heart show coming up. :thumbsup2

I saw them on the same tour as well. I went to see Heart, but Cheap Trick blew them away. It was the first concert where the energy level was better for the opening act than the headliner. They were still riding high from the success of the Flame and hits like "Don't be cruel" from that same cd.

Saw them once in Cincinnati and once in Denver and they were awesome!!! I think I'll download some Cheap Trick now!!

Here it was different. Heart has no problems with energy level in their hometown. Even did extra encores. ;)

That night is was a tie. :)

We were supposed to go see them last March with Aerosmith, but then something happened with Steven Tyler so it got cancelled...

Wow! I bet that was a fabulous show! I love both Heart and Cheap Trick.

I forgot about the hometown connection with Heart there. Plus with Cheap Trick comming from Rockford IL, they probably had more than their fair share of fans than Heart did. I saw them both at a arena called the Rosemont Horizon (Chicago) that has now changed it's name to the Allstate arena. I still remember being suprised how good Cheap Trick still was and how they stole the show.
