I just booked a quick three day trip this weekend as a surprise for my mothers 70th birthday. We booked OKW which I have never been to. It will just be my mother and I so no parks this trip just food and pool. I made a reservation at Frontera Cocina( have never been here, reviews??) in Disney Springs. What are my options to get here? I also booked Sanaa. Best way to get to AKL? Thanks in advance for your comments and replies !

Don't know about Sanaa. When we go to Frontera Cocina we take the boat to Disney Springs from OKW. It is a short walk from the boat dock.

The best option is probably take Uber or Lyft, it's less than $10 each way.
Otherwise take the bus or boat to DS and then a bus to AKL from there. Or bus to Animal Kingdom and then change for a bus to the hotel from there.
Sanaa is one of my favorite restaurants in WDW. If you've booked for lunch, ask for a window table, for dinner do not bother, it's too dark outside, you won't be able to see anything anyway.

Thank you! Do you enjoy Frontera Cocina?
We were there once for lunch and did enjoy it. We sat at the bar. Like many things on property the food was well done, but portions smaller and of course amply priced. We had a TIW discount which probably influenced our choice to visit although we do like Mexican very much, and as one who must avoid gluten the cuisine makes that easy. My wife had a very interesting margarita (avocado?) that was very good too. I think it is probably comparable to Maya Grill at CSR with a little more atmosphere and an interesting locale.

I would do a nice boat ride from OKW to DS. From there I would take a bus from DS to AKL.

For fun, I would take the bus to MK. From MK I would take a boat ride from MK to GF, to Poly, back to MK. Then I would hop on the Monorail and stop at the Poly and walk around, then stop at the GF and walk around, then back to MK. Then hop on the boat to WL and walk around before taking the bus to DS. Then take the boat ride back to OKW. This is what we do for a non theme park vacation. All the boat rides are free!

We do plan on doing some resort exploring so thank you for your suggestion :) We are going sans children and spouses so we are playing it by ear. I am very excited just to putter around. DVC is changing how I do Disney already!

To get to sanaa using Disney Transportation you have to get to a park or Disney Springs and then catch a bus to the Animal Kingdom Villas. Depending on the time of day the connections can be really bad. Disney Springs is probably the best transfer point, at least you can go into a store if the bus time is a long way off.

I think I'd transfer at a park, the busses from Disney Springs tend to take forever. Assuming they haven't got a car. Driving is the best option, followed by Uber or a taxi, then bus.
