I'm taking my daughter on a mommy daughter trip for a few days. We'll be staying in a studio at OKW. What's the worst possible walk we could have? Will I hate life or is it really not that bad? Wondering if it's worth it to put in a room request for near the hospitality house. I do plan on swimming in the afternoons.

The villas near Hospitality house are a separate booking category, not a request. Waitlist that category if it’s important!

Thanks - I didn't realize that! I was so happy to see Deluxe Studio for a last minute trip I just booked without looking further.

We always stay in Turtle pond area and it is a ten minute walk to HH. Lovely walk at that. It's a nice stumble too some nights. But, like the others said, just hop on any bus, then walk across the road to the Penninsular Rd stop to go back to your building. We love OKW and part of it is the transportation for me as I love the boat to DS (hope it starts running again soon)

From the furthest point is no more than a 12min walk and that was with a toddler. But the beauty of that is there is none feature pools closer That are very relaxing. You did not say how old your daughter is, or if she needs the themed pools. Mine are now 9 and 13 and last few years prefer the other pools since not as many people around.

She's a bit younger than your girls and is always happy in water, but I think she'd like the themed pools. Having some options will be nice.

Only one time I tried OKW and I didn't have a car. The buses don't come that often. We were in South Point Road (I think) building 56. One day we got tired of waiting for the bus at HH and decided to walk. That was a long and confusing walk in hot sun with the way the roads are configured. That's from the standpoint of someone who doesn't know the resort. There was a quiet pool next to the building though. We never used the feature pool once.

Furthest room is 0.7 miles from the Hospitality House, so it depends on how fit you are and how fast you normally walk.

For me, that's 12 minutes unless I'm hustling or taking it really easy. I only find it a burden during Florida thunderstorms. For you? You'd know best.

Next time walk over to the Peninsular Rd bus stop (just across the bridge from the HH) and grab any bus since the next stop will be South Point.

Thanks, but I'm considering picking up some resale points, so next time I have a chance at HH category rooms.

Just got back from 8nt at OKW. We put in a request via touringplans for building 62 and got it. It was great. Right across the road from HH and only 5min to the Peninsular Rd stop. In case you didn't know, Peninsular Rd is the first stop when leaving/arriving from the parks. Can't remember the order to and from DS. Worked out really well for us!

Is the Hospitality House the main building? What are these villas called in WDW website? Thank you.

There are no villas IN the Hospitality House, and the designation is
Deluxe Studio -Near Hospitality House
Thats right what you book when making your reservation!

Sorry, a few more questions:
Is there a 1BR or 2BR-Near Hospitality House category? I really want a washer & dryer.
When browsing the WDW site, I only see Deluxe Studio, 1BR, 2BR, and 3BR grand villa. No mentioning of the "Near Hospitality House". Does that mean all the rooms in this category are already taken? Or do I need to call to book the Near Hospitality House category?
Thank you.

Whenever I have stayed at OKW, we have both used the bus system and walked to and from the room... both are easy. Honestly, we hardly needed to go to the Hospitality House. We made coffee and breakfast in the room, swam in the quiet pool near our building. It's such a pretty resort. We love staying at OKW.

Yes. If near-HH rooms were available they would show up in your search. You can't call to get near-HH.

Near HH designation is Bldg 11-14 and 23-26. 62 is not Near HH booking category.

Are you looking at the DVC website or WDW website. If your looking to rent with cash, not DVC points. I believe that all the HH rooms are reserved for DVC point use, not cash through WDW.
