My family will be going to WDW the 1st two weeks in December. We own at BC and have been there, WLV and BWV. We are trying to do the trip with a few points left from this year and all of next years points. My daughter will be 5. Which resort do you feel would be better? My husband is already upset that we don't have enough points to stay at the Epcot resorts and is worried about taking a bus everywhere. We will spend most of out time in the parks. We also will do mini golf and maybe some boating. We are going to also try not to eat out for all meals. Other considerations: pool? and a good gym. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm...at this "late in the game", you might not have a choice. I would call MS and check availability....that might make the decision a lot easier.

Good luck,
Beca

Yes, we were originally going to BCV and cash for first few days, but that was not available.

OKW is available, but I didn't ask about SSR. I just saw the pictures that were posted at SSR and the gym looks fantastic. The pool also looks nice, although it may be too cold in December. I will check back Monday - Thank you

I don't think you'll go wrong with either one. It might be nice to try the "newest" resort if there is availability. The OKW main pool will probably still be undergoing installation of the theme slide during early December.

If you are likely to use a food court, SSR has one and OKW does not. Rooms at OKW are larger, if that matters to you.

I'm going second week in November, and, like you, would have preferred to stay at BWV or BCV, but they were not available. However, Saratoga Springs WAS. If I can't stay at my first choice, I certainly don't mind trying out the new digs. I guess SSR just hasn't registered as an option with a lot of people yet. Same thing happened to me in 2002, when I stayed at BCV just after opening.

Great points. Now I have to think about the OKW pool not being opened (maybe too cold anyway) and construction noise at SSR. HMMMMM.......

I wouldn't worry about the construction noise too much, and the pool will be a bonus at SSR if it is warm enough. Kids seem to ALWAYS think it is warm enough anyway! The accommodations will be larger at OKW and cost fewer points. The buses are terrific from OKW. Can't say about SSR, since no one has really stayed there yet.

Thank you all for your great advise and comments. We have decided to rent the additional points needed and stay at the BWV for the entire time. This way we get the location and we won't have to move. I hope I get to try these resorts in the future, since they are the only ones I have not stayed in. Until then, I am very happy with visiting BWV and WDW again.

Thank you again!

sounds as if it going to be very suitable for families with young chidren especially if the pool is 3 ft.deep
