Can you walk from Okw to POFQ? We thought it might be nice to stroll over one night (literally stroll with DD2 in a stroller) for beignets. How long will it take if possible? Also, are beignets available at night? thanks

You can't walk it - there's no path.

I guess the best way to get there would be to take the boat (or walk) to DTD and then take a boat to POFQ.

Bummer! Thanks for letting me know.

yes, Beignets are available all day. The boat ride to POFQ is wonderful, if you haven't done it before. That was our favorite part about staying at FQ was the boat ride to DD. Then you can walk around PO if you want. Very pretty path between FQ and Riverside.

Unfortunately going from OKW to PORQ requires transfers, so it can be a long ride. But if they are already in DTD, the trip in is not that bad if they walk to Marketplace. To go back they can take the bus back to DTD, but have to transfer from one resort bus to another.

I would walk or take the boat between DTD and OKW. The bus is really the worst of all possible worlds - it's slower than walking and not nearly as nice as the boat.

If it is hot and humid, walking can be just as slow as the bus.

Don't try to walk along the roadside on the grass, there could be snakes.

The only step up in speed is to go by automobile (yours, rented or chauffeured). British use the term "hired" to refer to the second; Americans may use "hired" to refer to the third..

I have several friends who have tried walking between OKW and DTD and they have been prevented from doing so at the gold course. All have told me that they were told you are not supposed to be walking there...it is golf course property and not intended as a walkway.
So, try the walk at your own risk...you may be stopped.

Thanks everyone. We have stayed at POR in the past but we are dvc now so we are going to hopefully be at OKW. We do enjoy the boat rides but it may be too many just for beignets. LOL

Ther is a walking path but it starts at the employee parking lot in OKW. Go to Google maps and put walking directions from POFQ to OKW and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Well, it's not a walking path, it's a road (without sidewalks) and it's full of signs that say cast members only. It's a backstage area and guests are not allowed. But, yeah, it would technically get you there.

There is an allowable path from OKW to DTD but it starts at bldg 55

We have walked from OKW to DTD and the path goes along the water..I think it was down in the South Point area, that is where we were staying...my DS went out for a run and found it and we loved it.. it brings you out down near House of Blues on the West end... then get the boat to POL, there is a bridge across the water to the SSR Tree house but I am not sure if you are supposed to use that. :goodvibes
