It is also possible that people are cancelling trips as their holding window comes up...for a whole host of reasons. Could it be something nefarious? Sure. But, there are also plenty of other explanations.

Even though this might not have happened often in past years, there are reasons why this year might be different. For example, I'm not particularly interested in going back until a good fraction of the shuttered shows come back online.

SSR is undergoing renovations so that makes sense because they would have been taken out of inventory until they knew for sure the rooms would be done,

OKW is different.

When we were at OKW in the Spring they had a building or two closed for exterior repairs, I’ve seen some out every trip since the interior room refurbishment ended. Maybe DVC put them back in service and holding off others due to higher demand than normal in the summer, thus allowing more points to be used. Or it’s people canceling.
