OKW studios - prefer 2 beds or 1 bed and a couch

Which would you prefer in the OKW studios

1)the current two beds

2) one bed and a couch

3) prefer that they keep the majority with 2 beds and have the 19 wheelchair accessible stuidos converted to 1 bed/couch to allow more floor space

4) Personally don't care

5) something other than the choices above

What I would really like is a king size bed ( not queen) and a couch! If they had made the rooms a little larger (not OKW), this could have been accomplished. We will not stay in a studio for this reason. We sleep on a king size at home, not going to take a step down on vacation!

I personally don't care. We've been at OKW and enjoying it since '95. WE also own at HH, and I find the couch to be somewhat uncomfortable to sit on. For the amount of time we spend sitting on the couch vs. sleeping, I'd rather sleep in a bed. Of course, if we travel alone, it doesn't matter, but if you have guests with you, someone has to sleep on the couch. Since the kids are gone (whew!), it's usually just the two of us, so again, I personally don't care, but if pushed to a decision, I would choose 2 beds.

Since we travel with a power wheelchair - the current arrangement makes it impossible to get to the deck. We also prefer to have the couch during the day. Son doesn't mind the couch and if we had anyone else with us would want a one bedroom or larger!

Since we usually have at least 3 people going, the 2 beds are better. The couches are uncomfortable for sleeping. We're not staying at BWv because of the 1 bed.

This subject comes up regularly at the OKW annual member's meeting. We were told by legal counsel for DVC that the arrangement of the rooms cannot be altered without changing the legal filing documents with every state & country where DVC is registered. Members were sold a specific set of facilities & changing this would be costly. Personally the cost benefit ratio is not there for me.

I think two beds are better especially because I have two kids.
When does anybody really sit on the couch when your in Disney. When I'm done with my full day at Disney all I want to do is sleep.

Since we don't own at OKW, I haven't voted in your poll, but the bed and sofa arrangement at BWV was one of the reasons we bought there, rather than at OKW. I'm just glad there is something for everyone.

It sounds like most people prefer the 2 beds, but when I spoke with member services about why they have the bed/sofa bed arrangement in the newer resorts, I was told that it was because most members prefered it that way. I always vote for compromise so it would seem like they new resorts should have some of both, then when you make you reservation you put in a preference.

We prefer two beds in the studios at OKW. The one time we stayed at BW, both of our kids complained about the pull-out couch bed and said they'd rather not stay there again because of it.

I think some should be kept as they are, with 2 queen size beds, and I think some should be converted to 1 king size bed and a couch. A combo of different styles would be nice because for some, they need the 2 beds, while others(such as DH and I)only really need one bed!

If it were DH and I, we would use a studio. Someimes we just want to hang out, the couch would be nice. We stayed in a studio at BWV just for that reason. We would probably use a studio more at OKW if it was one bed and a couch. Who am I kidding, we wont give up the whirlpool tub!!
