Ya right! I just got an email from a hoidaytimesharespecialist or something like that in Las Vegas saying they have timeshares at unbelievable prices etc., and in particular what I'm looking for (which is OKW) and when I called these people they told me they just sold OKW at $21 per point. Needless to say I began laughing hysterically over the phone and the woman said would you like to speak to my manager? And I said yes of course as I knew this was a terrible mistake on her part. It was then I got "cut off" from the phone conversation. What do you make of that? I'm currently waiting for a phone call back so I can get to the bottom of this. Pretty funny huh! She actually had the audacity to argue with me that this was the truth!

How many of you potential disney vacation clubbers would jump on that price huh! How about everyone!!! LOL I'll keep you updated when I speak to someone else at that company.

Oh how the story changes. Spoke to some dude and he said he could get OKW down in the "40's" per point. And I then explained to him the Disney's right of first refusal and he said, "oh ok, then I guess we can't get it that low". Talk about double talk! I guess it's safe to say avoid them like the plague!

If this is Holiday Group, they have a pretty good timeshare sales rep. Just realize that DVC is an enigma and few of the companies are accustomed to dealing with them so misquoting is not necessarily unexpected. They may very well have sold for a very low figure, but DVC likely bought it back. If it was another sales rep, the person you were talking to might not have known the specifics. Then again, maybe he was feeding you a line. Holiday actually owns most of the timeshare they sell and they GUARANTEE clear title. They can also have some of the best prices around. While they may (or may not) be off base with this situation, I wouldn't count them out for an overall resource in timeshares. I've bought 2 resales and never gone through any of the usual companies discussed on this site. Once I used one of the Century 21 companies and the other was through ERA Stroman, the largest timeshare seller. Rather than talking them down, at least give them a chance to come through. Tell them what you want and what you will pay and see if they can get it, you might be surprised.

Bunny, that IS too funny. Maybe they were selling a DVC "generic" or something. I would have been scared of someone who made that claim.
