Anyone have any suggestions for a location at OKW? Will have 2 young children with us. Will have a car. Looking for something not too far from HH but also quiet for sleeping. Any suggestions? Are the elevator buildings quiet?

We have stayed there a few times now and always have had a car.

We actually prefer the 55/56 buildings. The parking is easy (we could leave the stroller in the car!), it's very close to a nice quiet pool, a playground and super close to a bus stop for our MK days!

It does mean if we need to go to HH we take a car but that wasn't something we needed to do often - usually 1-2x a trip.

We always order garden grocer and have plenty of breakfast and beverages in our room.,.

We prefer the Turtle Pond area. We like the village pool there. There are playgrounds at all of the pools at OKW. The 3 elevator buildings are near the main entrance which is good proximity to the main pool, but is also near major bus routes. We tend to stay away from the HH area and just drive when we want to go there.

Is staying near HH bad? Are there any buildings with elevators? Are reservations are for HH. My concern is for my parents who are coming with us? They do not need an accessible room, but is this the only option on the ground floors for buildings without elevators?

I don't think staying near HH is bad. I prefer it. Others like other areas. They say it is quieter, or the parking is easier. That's what's great about Disney; they have something to please everybody. Except the person I saw who wrote they don't like OKW because it looks like condos, not a "vacation resort," because you can park by the buildings!
