I got my resale past the Disney ROFR!!!!!

The details:
60 points, OKW, $72.00 per point, April use year, no 2002 points, all 2003 points

True, it is not as many as I would like to have started with, but my first vacation date will allow enough points for 2004 vacation with banking/borrowing.

Now I just have to figure if I went to find another small resale or add on through Disney...all in all, I have had worse problems to sort out.

Do you mind if I asked when your resale was submitted? I'm getting so frustrated waiting to hear on mine! It was submitted on February 26th. It works out to 72.14 per point, so I'm pretty sure I'll get it, but I really want to sneak down there May 31 for our anniversary. DH wasn't as, umm, enthusiastic about DVC as I was. I was hoping that once he experienced it he would change his tune a bit. The wait is killing me!

Do you mind if I asked when your resale was submitted?

I don't mind at all, it was submitted on the 4th of March and I found out on morning of the 27th of March. Basically, three weeks went by.

You know, it might be better with me to get started on a smaller amount of points. That way, my DW (Still not totally with the 'magic') can experience it and I could 'break her in' with the DVC experience.

Hmm...do you look at the same resellers (the most popular ones) for the smaller points? I haven't seen anything smaller than about 150 points.

By the way, congratulations! (Yes, I'm jealous!)

Hey Arny,
You should call all the resale brokers and tell them that you're interested in a smaller contract as these tend to go quickly, especially the ones with banked points. Some of the smaller ones don't even make it onto their websites because people are already on their waiting lists.

Ahhh...didn't even think about that.

I'll start with some e-mails and jump on some waiting lists.

Maybe I will be a DVC member sooner than I thought!
