OKW rental, can i change dates?

I was offered to purchase a 5 night stay at OKW for next nov.-dec off of ebay. Right now the deal sounds great to me but what happens if it can not use it? Can i change my reservation or let someone else have it?

You should work that out with the owner of the points in advance before you make your purchase. If the point owner will allow you to, then you will be able to. But check in advance before buying. Do you mean November/December of 2005?

Maybe you should check out the Rent/Trade Board here on the Dis. You may find something else.

As HBC states, it would be best to check with the person renting the reservation. Disney will offer no assistance if you need to change dates- only the member who made the reservation may make any substantial changes to a DVC reservation.

In this case, the points used to make the reservation do have to be used within a certain timeframe and changes may not be possible at all. All DVC reservations are based on availability and there times when availability is very limited- even for members.

It would be wise to have a full understanding of what the member will allow for changes or cancellation before renting anything- thru E-bay or our Rent/Trade Board here on the DIS.
