OKW pool slide

If there's going to be a water slide, it should be at the main pool. That's been considered the "feature pool" since before OKW was called OKW. It's the main recreation area of OKW. And it's a beautiful, spacious, nicely themed area.

My point was that the nicely themed area could be in jeopardy with an "add on" slide. I think it would need to be completely reworked and the entire feature pool area changed. I just hope they keep it true to the existing resort theme. I don't care if there is a pool or not, but I hate to see it look like an add on.

Good news! Thsi makes staying at OKW more desirable to us as we spend lots of pool time.
That is what got me. I didn't like the lack of a themed pool. Plus, I prefer the hotel feel more than the apartment feel to OKW. but, with a slide I won't be disappointed if OKW is the only resort we can get into. My daughters are fish.

I wonder if thsi will help even out the demand of different DVc resorts and if OKW will book out more quickly, despite it being larger. Now it will ahve the slide and the larger rooms.

I, too hope they do a good job, and that it doesn't just look "stuck on".

So OKW is the last of the resorts (not including value) to not ahve a slide?

Happy Camper Family here!!!! Me and Kids very happy. Love our pool time and the kids will be happier thus Mom and Dad are happier and no more - Mom - let's go to another pool. Now pool hopping is nice but the only really different ecperience was Storm Away Bay which they already took from us. This all makes alot of sense.

One Word - Yippee!!!!!

We've been owners at OKW since 2000 and now will probably never stay anywhere else. The only reason we ever stray is for easy access to the other pools. Yes, we pool hop, but it's not as convenient as having it right at your own resort. About time, I say.

Too bad, its going to make a nice peaceful pool loud and unpleasant.

I guess they must be doing this in spite of the pole they took that shot down the pool idea. I guess it was due to some minority of whiners. Disney seems to bend over backwards for whiners all the time, too bad.

I wonder also how big the slide will be. Perosnally I like the AKL size. The big one at SAB my oldest would never get on. The AKl slide is perfect for all ages. She rode it a million times and I even rode it a few times myself.
