OKW pool query

Heading to okw tomorrow-so excited.....


Just curious,is there a quiet pool where dh will be able to swim lengths?

Glide down the pool slide through a giant sandcastle and sunbathe on the sand beach at Sandcastle Pool. Relax in the whirlpool spa and delight in a dry sauna inside the pool deck's lighthouse. Located near the Hospitality House, Sandcastle Pool even has a kiddie pool for little ones.

You can also explore the 3 leisure pools—each with a whirlpool spa—in these locations at Disney's Old Key West Resort:

• Old Turtle Pond
• South Point
• Miller's Road

None of the pools at OKW are good for swimming laps. They are basically square.

The only lap pool that I am aware of on the entire property is the pool at the Dolphin. And you cannot pool hop there, even if you are a DVC member.

If you have a car and it's really really important, I'd call the aquatic center ymca in Orlando.

Just came back after 2 weeks at OKW as an avid lap swimmer. Nope....no lane markings/flags or jr. Olympic pools at OKW.

We went swimming early mornings in Turtle Pond, no problem, very nice albeit not a full sized lap pool. No one else in at 7am.
