Sorry, I just assumed that you read and signed the "Product understanding checklist". It clearly states the maximum occupancy of the units.
We also pay for the mantainence of these units, overcrowding these units raises our costs. I think is is very unfair, even rude, to subject fellow members to higher costs due to someone deciding that the rules are for others.
A good idea would be to see if there was availability for you to cancel your current reservation and re-book it as a one bedroom, two bedroom, then one bedroom again only making the lock off studio available during those days that you need it. By linking the reservations, they may be able to guarantee your ability to do this.
You could even just reserve a studio for them during those days and send a fax before leaving explaining your desire to have the studio be the locked off studio from your unit. Again make sure your desire is clear when you check in. Call the front desk the day before they check in and make your desire known again. Be there when they check in and you may just get lucky and be able to stay in the one bedroom the entire time.
Simply put, seven is way too many people for a unit that YOU agreed not to overcrowd.
Sorry, but as members we have a vested interest in the abuse of these units.
