OKW Lovers Thread. Part 2

Read an article recently from the board sponsor that pointed out that it's been 7 years since OKW's last refurb, making it due for a soft goods refurb anytime now.

Wonder if there's any possibility of fold down murphy beds for 1,2 and 3 bedrooms with that refurb? Seems unlikely with the window placements in the living room. They could likely do it for the studios, but most seem to like the two real beds vs. a bed and a couch.
They took the second bed out of the inn rooms at VB and replaced it with a murphy.

Personally I would rather have the couch although those studios are huge so it doesn't matter as much compared to a CCV studio for example.

Well, if you can get excited about being a shorter walk to Olivia's and the shop that's an advantage.
When staying in the Near HH area, I prefer building 23 to26 if they are available, as they are closer to the Peninsular Road bus stop. But I also had a lovely one bedroom building 11 a few trips back.

Just remember that the near HH 1 and 2 bedrooms unit only have the main bathroom entrance thru the Master Bedroom. No biggie if just a couple traveling together, but a consideration if anyone is sleeping in the living room area.

Good point! A always forget about this distinction for the phase 1 buildings at OKW.

We always ask for building 26 and two times have gotten the exact same room.. love that bus stop right there and the quick walk to the pool/store or HH house bus stop if we miss the Peninsular stop

Staying for one night in a couple weeks before transfer to Riviera for the rest of our stay

We will be staying at OKW in January and are very excited! We have the standard studio category and are hoping for something quiet, away from roads and ferry horns. We have a car so not concerned about access to buses. Also, we are walkers so not concerned about walk to main area. Just looking for quiet and a good view if anyone was suggestions!

We have a standard studio booked. We have stayed at Coronado in the past so I understand internal bus loops (if that is similar). It's more of a relaxing stay since we are using the 3-day ticket deal and not in a rush to do everything at this point. Hoping to enjoy the pools especially for the kids.

It depends, probably the quietest studios will be Bldgs 34,35, 37, 55 and 56. 55 and 56 are also close tot he walking path to Disney Springs. Be aware that the path is not well lit at night, so it is best to take the busses after dark, due to wildlife.

There isn't a dedicated internal bus loop, as such. The park busses stop at all stops, starting with Peninsular Road, South point, Turtle Pond, Miller's Road and Hospitality House...in that order, then to their respective park. The Disney Springs/Internal bus stops at Hospitality first, then Peninsular Road, South Point, Turtle Pond and Miller's Road, then Disney Springs. There is also a boat from Hospitality to Disney Springs, if weather and water levels allow it.

From all that..I have placed you in #37.

We always requested building 35. Quiet area and near the bus stop but not so close that you heard the busses all the time.
