I hope you can help me . . . .

I am looking for suggestions . . . This is the first trip that my husband and I have taken with children and we really don't know what to ask for. We have a 1 bedroom and our niece's are 10 & 11.

To enter the bathroom, are there two seperate entries or only one? Is there an area that is close to the pool, but still quite? Should we request close to the bus stop or just take what ever they give us?

Our only request were non-smoking, high floor.

Thanks again,

Tifany

Hi Tifany-
In the older one-bedrooms, the only way to get to the bathroom is through the bedroom. So, if your nieces need to go in the middle of the night, they'll have to come through your bedroom. In the newer buildings, they've added a door into the bathroom through the laundry room. It provides a lot more privacy. If you want the second door in the laundry room, you should request it.

We found that most of the buildings were a fairly short walk from the nearest bus stop. We were right in the middle of two of them and neither was very far. So, unless you have specific issues with the walk, I wouldn't worry too much about requesting it.

All of OKW is pretty quiet, so unless you are really noise averse, you should be ok just about anywhere. There are a few buildings that are pretty close to Bonnet Creek Pkwy and Buena Vista Drive that might get more traffic noise. We like to request a building close to the Community House. All the "neighborhoods" have their own quiet pool area, but we like to be close to the main pool, restaurant, etc.

Good Luck.

Building #30 up have the two entrances to bathroom. Building 62-64 have an elevator, all others have three floors with stairs. You have parking for your car right infront of the building. It is an easy walk to main pool and check-in area from most area, except some around 49-52. Other pool areas are also great(four pools total). I haven't stayed in a bad location any of the 10 times we have stayed there.

I like buildings 62, 63, and 64. They are close to the main pool, bus stop, restaurants, etc. Also they have two entrances to the bathroom and elevators. :)

here's the best tip we got about OKW. Ask for a room near the Peninsula bus stop. This is the first stop for pick ups going to parks. But it is a very short walk to the lobby stop, which is the last. If you come up to the bus stop and realize you just missed your bus, you can beat it to the lobby and skip the 20+minute wait for the next one. you wont believe how handy this comes in.

Hope you have a GREAT trip with your nieces! We took our nephews when they were 9 and 12 and it was a wonderful chance to get to know them better and they were so appreciative. There's nothing like seeing Disney through a child's eyes.

Very nice location but....
Just keep in mind that you'll need building #'s 30 or above to have the 2nd enterence through the laundry room into the bathroom though;)

Personnally, we love building #52 in the Southpoint section. It's non-smoking, has the 2nd enterence to the bathroom, and is close to both the Southpoint bus stop and the quiet pool -- we love that the quiet pool is right on the lake too. So pretty! We had a nice view of the canal and golf course from our balcony too. We've stayed in various sections of OKW and haven't ever had a bad location but building #52 so far has always been our favorite. Have a great time!!

OKW is wonderful and I think you'll enjoy your stay there. I've stayed in several different buildings. On our stay in June, we stayed in a 2-bedroom in building 46, which is South Point Road. It was a 5-minute walk to the bus stop and had a wonderful view of the boats on Trumbo Canal. We were very pleased with it.

Have a fabulous time!
