My home resort of over ten years is Old Key West. I love the resort, and over the years I've tried a few others for various reasons (SSR for availability my first stay, BWV when I owned there, but those points were sold in 2016, and CCV because I love the Wilderness Lodge). The location of BWV is hard to beat, but I didn't like the room or building. I also didn't like my CCV room and figure I can do some resort hoping whenever I'm there instead of staying. SSR is basically OKW with more people and smaller rooms, so no need to stay there again.
While we were engaged, I took my new spouse to Disney World for the first time. We stayed in a studio at OKW, and it was great. The resort was relaxing, he liked the ambiance, and he was able to experience me in "Disney Mode," which he found surprising and intimidating. I'm now planning a second trip for us to celebrate our first anniversary. My current thought is to do a split stay between a studio at "home" and a studio elsewhere, three nights each, with room change day being a resort hopping day.
The question: where is worth the price difference for a studio (not where will be available, that will be a craps shoot)? I am grandfathered in to all resorts, so can book anywhere at 7 months. Thanks for your thoughts and perspective!
