OKW Housekeeping-How do they clean?

You can get eggcrates??? I would have never thought to ask for THAT!!

I'll have to remember that, the beds at OKW are waayyyy too firm for me, DH loves them

It is very doubtful OKW will be replacing mattresses anytime soon. Those are new. We slept fine on them last week.

I think the beds at OKW are a HUGE problem. There's no excuse for them to be that hard....they seem downright cheap to me.

The fact that the front desk knows about this means MANY MANY people are complaining about them.

OKW USED to be my favorite, but I won't sleep on that mattress again. Egg crates make it BARELY tolerable. Jack Bauer probably slept on a better bed the years he was being tortured by the Chinese.

I go on vacation to rest, and the bed is crucial. OKW really screwed up here.

Its all good now, mousekeeping brought us the eggcrates and engineering fixed the missing jet cover on the tub, and I slept great...now it is off to DHS for RD:cool1:

I'm glad it is better!!!

I'd still haul the manager into your room. The folks that bought the beds for OKW made a HUGE error, and should be forced to fix it PRONTO!

Fix it how, exactly? Mattesses aren't cheap, replacement would be at OKW owners expense. Sorry, I don't think they should use our dues to replace brand new mattresses.

I would say they need to get some sort of toppers for the beds, at least for people who request them. Not the chintzy little egg crates, but the foam toppers. They can turn almost any bed into a decent night's sleep, and they certainly aren't as much as a whole new mattress (particularly if you buy them in mass quantities...which they need to do.)

Actually, I wonder if you did get a new mattress in your last visit. in our 2 bedroom, only the King had it. It was like sleeping on plywood -- no joke. The worst mattress I've EVER slept on.

Last December we had a one bedroom unit in bldg 31. I had thrown my back out somehow, so Mom took the sofa sleeper for a couple nights and I took the firm king. It was very comfortable to me. Mom thought she was in heaven when she got the king room back when my back got better.
We like firm beds.

The studio we were in a couple of weeks ago seemed to have new mattresses, the fabric pattern on the box springs looked different, and they were quite firm as well.
