We are so excited. Our waitlist for an OKW GV just came through. I didn't think it could be possible. :thumbsup2 I really don't care where we get located but was wondering if there are GVs that have any sort of water view? And also if we do not want a HC unit should we state this for a request? TIA for any info.

If you don't need/want a HA unit do what I do. Just call MS and specify you want a non-HA room. I've been doing this for over 10 years, ever since we got a HA 1 bedroom for a 9 night stay at OKW.

It's just another request, so there's nothing to lose by adding it to your reservation.

This is our view from our Grand Villa in Building 43. It was perfect! You are right across the road from Turtle Pond Pool. Very convenient!

Breyean, I will surely add that to my requests.

OKWAnneMarie, that view is incredible. Exactly what I'd love to have.

Thank you both for your input. :)

We like the views from the GVs in building 15 and 16. Both are golf course views, but also have some water in the view. I also love that those two buildings are close to both Miller's Road and Hospitality House bus stops, so you can go out the door and if the bus you want is coming toward Millers, you can call the others in the villa, and they can walk to HH while you pick up the bus at Miller's. We did this a number of times from 15. We'd send the kids down and when the bus was approaching Miller's Road, they would call and we'd head over to HH. IT worked every time!:thumbsup2

Terrific idea Diane. Are 15 & 16 in the HH booking catagory? We didn't get that but can we still request that area? Thanks so much!

There are only 2 handicapped accessible Grand Villas, so the chance of you getting one is not high. They are in high demand from people who Need those features.

And, some people have reported that they specify they want "non-handicapped" but get it anyway. Probably because CMs see the word "handicapped" and miss the "non" part.

This is a very good point too. Although I will be using a wheelchair in the parks I definitely do not need a HC accessible room. Probably the best thing would be to just not say anything until we get to the check in desk. Thanks for that suggestion SueM.

I thought I saw that somewhere. LoL Thanks Simba's Mom. :thumbsup2

keep in mind the GV in building 48 (which is handicapped accessible) is the only one that guests enter on ground floor.
Except for the ones in the elevator building, you need to climb to 2nd floor to get to the front door.

I think I should be okay with that. Stairs are a challenge when I'm tired but just one flight up should be doable. Thanks Sue.
