for those who have enjoyed an OKW grand villa...

can anyone tell me if the master bedroom has enough floor space for either two twin air mattresses, or a double? while we would stay well within the GV occupancy limits, i am thinking that our two small children would prefer to be closer to us in the master rather than on the pull-out or upstairs with grandma. how much room, exactly, do i have to play with in there? am i going to need to move furniture?

also, can anyone recommend an area that would be great with two small kids? i am guessing a close proximity to a pool and playground would be best.

what areas/bldgs house the grand villas?

:flower3:

The master bedroom area is the same size as the 1-bedroom's at OKW. If you haven't stay there, I think that you could probably squeeze either in somewhere.

We stayed in a one bedroom this past Feb. I can tell you, if you move a few things around you should have no problem putting your air mats down. Have fun and good luck!

NOT true!!!! The master of the GV is almost 3 feet longer!!! Yes, there would be plenty of room for two airbeds. Heck, even a plain old light weight airmattress would work well. You can store them under the bed during the day.

The master bath is also different in the GVs. I actually prefer the layout of the 1 and 2 bedrooms there, but I do know for sure about the size difference in the master bedroom. We really missed that extra space when we went from a GV to a 1 bedroom in one trip.

You could probably also use the laundry room as an option for the air mattress! It's on the first floor, adjacent to kitchen, and is quite large.

In addition, there is a lot of extra room in the GV living/dining room where you could put one.

Interesting. So you are saying that the bedroom area (just the area where the bed is) is actually larger? The bathroom I could see. It has a completely different layout. But the bedroom area seems exactly the same size. Learn something new every day. I will have to take measurements of our 1-bedroom next time. We built our house around the layout of a OKW GV. I'm sure people will think we are crazy. But we love the GV's so much that we did floor plans and took measurements on a trip. An architect was able to modify them and we now live in a house very similar to a GV. Just add another bedroom, expand the great room, add a fireplace, add a walk-in closet to the master, complete in a craftsman style and you pretty much have our house.
