We have been staying at OKW for over 20 years. But in the past we always drI’ve nor stayed newer the hospitality house. This time we are flying. So I wondered if bell services brings your luggage to your room when it is ready. We plan to head to Epcot for the day when we check in. The park is open till 10pm that night. So we hoped our luggage would already be in the room when we get back that night. Also, we are changing rooms halfway through our stay from a regular 1 bedroom to one near hospitality. Will they move our luggage from room to room? Hope that makes sense,

If you are using DME they will deliver to your room, even if you are not there, as the tip is included in the DME service.

Actually we are not using ME to the parks. We are renting a car from Alamo for the first part of our trip. We are going to the beach for a few days before WDW. So we are dropping the car off at the Alamo on site at WDW. The plan is to go to OKW first thing in the morning and drop our luggage off at bell services. Then we will drop the car at Alamo and have their shuttle drop us off at Epcot. We do plan to use ME on the return trip. But from my understanding they no longer do luggage service for ME. You have to carry it along with you now.

You'll need to call them when you get to the room. They won't deliver to an empty room.

My understanding is that now, DME does not collect and deliver your luggage. You are responsible for getting it from baggage claim yourself, and bringing it with you. So when you get to OKW, you'll have your luggage with you. I'd be interested to the answer to this question. I've never had this happen-either driven (so had a car when we got to OKW) or took DME when they WERE delivering to the room.

As Deb & Bill said, you can leave your luggage with bell services and they will bring it to your room, but you must call them when you get back from Epcot. To answer your other question, yes, bell services will help you move from one room to another, and will hold your luggage until the second room is ready.

Yikes! This is so annoying. Epcot is open till 10 pm Our day of check in. We have 7:00 ADRs ar R&C. We are in hopes that Epcot will have Fireworks. I know it is a long shot. But someone mentioned them testing fireworks at the WS recently. Either wat, It could be 10:30 or later when we return. I wonder how long it takes bell services to deliver at OKW. We plan to hit HS super early the next day. I was so hoping our luggage would be in the room when we arrived back from Epcot. Grrrrr!

You could always return to OKW from Epcot when you get the text saying your room is ready. No guarantees that it would arrive immediately, of course, but I would think if Bell Services knows you're there waiting for it they would do their best to deliver it ASAP. Since Epcot is open late you can go back once you get your luggage and get settled in.

We may have to do this. But what a time waster. I hear horror stories of people waiting hours for busses right now. If we don’t get the text till 4 pm, we could feasibly be late for our ADR at R&C. Maybe we will get some pixie dust and our room will be ready when we arrive that morning.

We have travel my times from Ohio to Disney using DME, not sure what changes have been made to the service with the virus. We use the DME from the airport use on line checking in to get our room at OKW, than go the next day to Disney car care center and pick-up our car rental, cheaper than picking it up at the airport, plus you can avoid paying all the tolls between the airport and Disney. when you get off the DME bus at OKW you check in at bell services, than board a bus to your favorite park.

We are not going to WDW first when we arrive in Florida. We will rent our car at MCO and go to Clearwater Beach for three nights first. Then on to WDW three days later. We will drop of the car around noon on our first day at WDW. Then we will take DME back to MCO a week later. We don’t plan to have a car at WDW.

Changes to DME are mostly with luggage. They no longer transport your luggage. If you check your luggage, you will need to pick it up at the carousel and bring it on the bus yourself. And when returning there is no longer airline checkin Or bag checking at WDW. You have to ride DME with your luggage and check it at the airport.

Maybe keep your car until the following morning with luggage inside so you will not have to worry and can enjoy your first day. It may be worth the extra cash.

DH had the same idea. But we are planning to get to HS for rope drop the next morning. So I am having a tough time trying to figure out a time we could drop it off before noon. If it is after noon we have to pay for yet another day. Grrrr! Not sure why we have to be in our room for bell services to deliver our luggage. We didn’t have to be when DME used to deliver it. If we were staying at the Hospitality area it might not be too big a deal to grab it ourselves.

Edit....Yikes! I just discovered Alamo opens at 6am. So we can take the car back then and have them drop us at HS. As a matter of fact we will see if they can drop us at BW and then walk over. Now I am happy!
