OKW 2 br in May

OKW is a nice resort, the 2 BR are very large and May is a great time to be at Disney. You may want to add a little more detail to your post as to what particular things you're inquiring about. (like is it hard to get, what locations, things to do in May, etc.)

I booked 2 Bedroom dedicated OKW May 2-7. I wanted BWV or BLT but neither was available. I think this a pretty good substitute. I have never stayed there, only looked at it in 1995 on a DVC tour, in which I was 18 at the time so I don't remember much about it. I do like that fact that there is 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom and a full washer/dryer. The square footage is bigger than other resorts and has been recently refurbished. I did request a room close to the Hospitality House as well

The two bedroom units @OKW are wonderfully roomy! :thumbsup2 The layout is quite attractive and lends itself well to privacy.

The Hospitality section is a personal favorite of mine -- close to all the "action" and within easy walking distance of the main pool, shop, etc.

May is a lovely time to visit. Enjoy! :)

I like to close to the HH as well. You will find yourself going there often for one thing or another. Also although the various pools around the resort are quiet (this may be something you would like) I prefer the main pool.

Request a building number 30 or higher. The lower numbered buildings don't have the extra door to the master bath in the laundry room.

We prefer anything but HH area. That area right across the the HH can have problems with parking because people will overflow the HH parking into that lot. Our favorite now is South Point.

We always take Disney Transportation to the parks, and if you do that, even if you drive to the resort, being close to a bus stop is much more important than being close to the Hospitality House. HH is the last stop on the bus route, so if you board there, you run the risk of the bus being full when you get on, and you get the nickel tour of the property when you return.

Take the boat from OKW to Downtown Disney. The boat dock at DTD is next to Paridisio 37 - they have decent live music in the evenings, and the Mangled Margarita and roasted corn appetizer are wonderful.

Take some bubble bath for the jacuzzi tub, but don't use too much!

Please, don't bring bubble bath and use it in hot tub. That can be very hard on the pump.

Our home resort is OKW but have been using points at many other resorts. We sent back to OKW last year as we were trying to stretch points and $$ best we could. We found that we could spend a whole day at OKW resort just doing "family" activities. Sons 11&12 and daughter 14. We played ping pong, pool, basketball, swam, checked out some movies, it was a great day and very inexpensive.

Staying at OKW in March in a 2BR. This is our favorite resort! We like to be farther back in the resort. Very quiet and less crowded.:yay:
