OKW -- 1 story????

This may be a really silly question but I didn't think of it earlier and I haven't found the answer on my own. I'm ruunning out of time0---I leave Wednesday. Are all the rooms (1br) at OKW on the first floor?? I didn't think to request anything except non-smoking but I use an ECV(scooter) for transportation and probably need a first floor or elevator. Am I going to have problems? Should I fax or email a request today? Thanks in advance. This is our first time at OKW---- I can hardly wait!!!!

You should call member services right away and have them add "1st floor or elevator due to medical reasons" to your reservation. Ask them if you need to follow-up with a fax or call to the resort.

All OKW buildings have 1st floor 1BR villas, but there are also 1BR villas on the 2nd and 3rd floor of those same buildings. Only buildings 62, 63 and 64 have elevators. As suggested, I'd call MS and make sure to request a ground floor for ECV access.

In addition to the comments you received, you will enjoy a one bedroom unit at OKW. There is plenty of room for your ECV. I rented one a couple of weeks ago (from Walker). I just drove it through the front door & parked it along the wall going into the living room. There is plenty of room to turn it around in the morning.

I'd also call and talk to the manager or room controller at OKW as the list for preferences has long been sent to them already. Make sure you check in at least by or before 4 pm and reitterate your need then. Be prepared to accept a handicapped room, even if you don't need it otherwise as there's a pretty good chance that's what you may get. Good luck and enjoy.

I called MS this morning and because I'm not yet a member(my closing package came yesterday) and this reservation is on rented points they wouldn't talk to me. They did confirm that the reservation was in my name and the dates but anything more than that had to come from the member. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed when I get there. My flight arrives at 11:30 and I have a rental car so I'll be able to check in early afternoon. Wish me luck!!!!

Since you are renting and MS won't give you the time of day it's imortant to call or fax the hotel. You might also ask the person you're renting points from to call MS as well.

Ask the person you're renting from to call and/or fax MS and the front desk. If I were you, I'd still call the front desk. I'd think they will talk to you since it's in your name. Just make sure you reaffirm the need on check in.
