Here now, but disappointed in our room :( I normally LOVE OKW but I guess I've never been in a 1 BR. The one bathroom we have can only be accessed through the master bedroom??? Meaning those sleeping in the living room will only be able to use the bathroom by walking through the bedroom. When I write it out it really doesn't sound like a big deal, but with 5 people In a room, it is kind of big deal. How can you say a villa sleeps 5, when access to the bathroom could potentially be obstructed or disruptive to those sleeping. I know, I know, I sound like a whiner, but I just really wish I had known. I wouldn't have used half my available DVC points on this room? Are all 1 BRs like this??? ( here or otherwise?) I guess I've only stayed in either 2 BR or studios.

Our first day was a big letdown to begin with ( that's a story for another day) and now we are bummed by this set up that we were not aware of.

There are 1 bedrooms in other areas of OKW that d not have that configuration. If moving would be worth it GO to the front desk and ask if a move is possible. I want to say that it's the higher number buildings that have the better configuration. We had the good one in turtle pond area I know that.

I would recommend moving too if you're staying for the week. There is a charge though. Most of the one bd have the extra entrance into the bathroom to avoid the problem you're describing. good luck

Well it keeps getting better and better...the front desk is insisting that there are no rooms with separate access to bathroom. I called and went down to the desk.

And I asked for an additional ( fifth) towel for my fifth guest and was told they were not allowed to give me one because I was a DVC member and they would have to CHARGE ME!! How embarrassing. "Hey mom, come join us at OKW...have limited access to the bathroom AND make sure you share your towel with someone!!!"

Buildings 30+ all have access to the bathroom through the laundry room.

What some people do is ask mousekeeping as they are walking through the area, or get one from the pool area.

And you have to be kidding me...my Ressie has 5+ infant for a one bedroom, if they only give us 4 towels, that would suck!!!!!

You need building number 30 or higher.

I stayed at VGC in a 1 bedroom last week and it has 2 bathrooms but 2 sets of towels per bathroom even though it's a room for 5. So 4 sets for a 1 bedroom seems to be the norm.

They traditionally only have four bath towels because they officially only sleep four. If you want more, you pay for them. Buy a towel pack for $6. That will give you four bath towels, two hand towels, four face cloths and a tub mat.

Since you have a washer and dryer, you can launder them if you need to easily.

But members are not supposed to take towels from the pool to take back to the villas. The pool towels cost more to launder because of the pool chemicals and sunscreens. So those costs are all paid by us. Same with getting towels from the housekeeper. And I don't like for my dues to go up because someone else just gets stuff for free. Any free stuff ended once you signed at the palm trees.

If you are in Peninsular Road, Millers Road or Hospitality House area, you'll have one door to the bathroom through the master bedroom. If you are at Turtle Pond or South Point, you'll get the extra door through the laundry room.

I haven't ever been to WDW before, I was just saying what others post that they do.

But, with regarding to officially only sleeping four...I think I will respectfully disagree. The description on the DVC pages and also when you pay rack rate vs dvc points, has the one bedroom suites listed as sleeping 5 AND an under 3.

To me, that would mean that those rooms would sleep 5 and would be stocked to sleep 5.

I can always bring an extra towel or two from home, but really $6 is not that expensive?

My question would be, will they replace that "purchased" set when Mousekeeping does the trash/towel service on day 4, or will you have to go re-purchase that towel pack?

You need to repurchase it. It will not be replaced gratis. Or launder the ones you got originally and put them away so housekeeping doesn't pick them up on Trash and Towel day.

I've actually been lucky on t&t day to have our towels in the laundry and they leave us more
