Our Table Service choices are as follows:

These are definite:
*'Ohana - Dinner
*'Ohana - Breakfast w/ Lilo & Stitch
*Princess Breakfast in Norway
*Cinderella's Gala feast at 1900 Park Fare

These we are considering:
*Coral Reef - We really enjoyed it here last time
*Yak and Yeti - Has anyone tried it here yet?
*Chefs de France - Alyways have wanted to try it here but pass it up, would you recomend it?
*Tokyo Dining - How is it here? How would it be with a 4 yr old?

Okay, any thoughts anyone might have would be great, thanks alot!

We're going to 1900 Park Fare for Dinner and Ohana for Breakfast on our trip this September (in fact, a week before you arrive!) Been to Akershus for BF, loved it, but decided to do CRT for princesses instead this year. Trying Yak and Yeti, so I'd like to know how others felt about it as well.

With all the choices, why go to Ohana twice? If it were me, I'd want to try something different, which is what we're doing this trip. We've selected a few old favorites, but we're also branching out and trying new things.

We were considering the Japanese dining (whichever the name is), the one where they cook right in front of you, but we have those types of restaurants around where we live. My 4 year old enjoys them, but wanted something we couldn't get at home. Plus, I'd read too many reviews to expect a very long, leisurely dinner there, something we didn't really want with antsy kids.

Good luck! Have fun.

I would say that if you want to try it go for it! This is also a good place to try while on the Dining Plan, it provides a good value, and if you don't like it... better to let Disney pick up the cost, than pay that much OOP.

*Nine Dragons - Is this any better than any other Chinese restaurant?

This question is one of the reasons we don't eat there. Chinese is so available everywhere you go now, that I would hate to eat there and think the whole time that I've had better at the cheap place back home.

Hope your trip is magically delicious!

We've done O'hana for dinner and character breakfast. The breakfast was definitely one of my favorites. I thought the characters and food were wonderful. The dinner was not one of my favorites because it was so much meat. DH loved it though because he is more of a meat eater. However, the atmosphere at the dinner was wonderful. Tons of stuff for the kids. We really enjoyed watching them learn to hula! I don't think you'll be disappointed with either meal. And as far as going there twice, it really doesn't seem like it since the two meals are so totally different from each other.

Good question. Well as a family we all LOVE Lilo & Stitch, check out my avatar, my DW screen name is Lilo and Minnie Girl, my DD still talks about a year ago how she marched with Stitch there last year, plus that breakfast was our favorite meal of the whole trip OMG the pineapple bread was wonderful and we all had sooooo much fun... did I make that point well enough lol so we will not miss breakfast there again. As for going there again for dinner I'm not sure if you've been to 'Ohana but breakfast and dinner there is like night and day (literally and figuratively). We really like dinner there and skipped it last trip and kind of regreted it so we will return. Other than 'Ohana and if we do Coral Reef again all our other choices will be new ones. Thank you for the suggestion, you make a wonderful point, as well trying things we don't have at home. My DW wanted to do the Japanese where they cook in front of you but we have one around here too that we have been to so we would probally do the other one. As well as the Chinese unless anyone could tell me that it is really incredible we could get our fill of Asian cusine in Japan and the Yak and Yetti.

Glowing review of Ohana! This will be our first time there so I'm really excited.
Enjoy your meals!

With a 4 year old, have you tried Crystal Palace or Garden Grill?

Of the TS you've listed, we've only eaten at Coral Reef. We loved it last time, but are not doing it this time because 1) so many other things to try and 2) we've previously had a place that we loved and then you go back and it spoils the memory...KWIM? So I suspect until we have other great places that we love to avoid ....OMG, that's :rotfl2: we will wait a bit to go again.

that said, I  the blacked catfish on pepperjack grits!

I was truly dissapointed with Yak & Yeti, but I seem to be in minority.
Chefs de France was delicious albeit slow service.
Nine Dragons was decent. but "standard chinese food" you can get anywhere.
We loved Teppan Edo, really fun experience. ( Try the hot sake ;) )

We had dinner at Nine Dragons and lunch at the Coral Reef just last month.
Both had excellent food and service.
To me , the Chinese was better than the "cheap" take-out places. We are used to excellent Chinese here at home, and this was just as good.

We especially liked the ginger ice cream.

Hope this helps.
I feel both of these are worth visiting. It was our second visit to both.
Hope this helps,

Debi:)

WITH a 4 yr old, i would do something like Chef Mickey's/ or crystal palace-- esp if going to be in Mk alot--- get to eat, it is on the dining plan (maybe next time you won't have it and character meals are $$$) and get some facce time with the characters without standing in line (would rather sit w food and wait lol)....
JMO... Jill who is doing character meals (3? so far) in July with a ds (11) who is too cool for this- the meals and getting autographs so I am getting my own book :) :) :)

4 yr olds are magical-- enjoy!

Love o'hanas for bfast we usually hit it at least twice during our stay. I was very dissapointed with yak & yeti so were my kids but I am sure there are plenty that love it...just not for me.

Good luck....happy planning!

'Ohana - Dinner Fantastic! We went last month and loved it, I have a ton of pics and my review in my signature

Princess Breakfast in Norway Loved it! We went with our 2 young nieces and they had a blast, the food was very good. DH had 2 full platters by himself because he said "For the price we paid to get in here and the girls are not eating anything I am going to get my moneys worth!" Seriously, it was great

Coral Reef - Been a while since we were there but DH and I ordered filets and they were out of this world, the rest of his family ordered a fish dish and they said it was ok but they wished they ordered what we did

Chefs de France - AWESOME! Went last month, tons of pics and reviews in my signature

One of the Japanese restaurants in WS - We have eaten at the Hibachi style (Teppan Edo) a few times before the big remodel and it was very good but the new menu doesnt look so filling to me, plus we have a lot of great Hibachi restaurants by us so I can eat there anytime....what about Tutto Italia instead?

Love the Ohana dinner but haven't done your other three for sure ADRs.

We've done Coral Reef and enjoyed it and it's one that we'll be doing on our next trip.

Haven't tried Yak n Yeti.

Haven't tried Chefs de France because DH won't eat anything on the menu but I would LOVE to try it!

We won't do Teppan Edo because we go to a local Teppan place for sushi. I've heard that the show is good if you've never done it and can't where you live but it's not worth going to if you can pay less at home. Mind you, I've heard it's better than Benihana which is truly terrible and overpriced Teppan.

I've never heard anything good about Nine Dragons. All the input has been that it is Chinese that you would get outside of the World but more expensive. Their General's chicken is $17 and is no better than P.F. Chang's.

Good luck with your ADRs!

My family and I really enjoyed Cinderella's Gala. The food was good and character interaction was wonderful. I have a very sweet picture of my 6 year old smiling as Prince Charming is taking time to really talk to her. We also went to the Storybook breakfast @ Epcot. It felt more rushed, but each princess took time to sign the autograph book and pose for a picture and make a small bit of conversation. The food was also good.

Have a great trip!

We love:love: Teppan Edo. It's my kids favorite. The remodel is great - much safer with little ones. The tables have more space before reaching the grill. We don't eat at Hibachi style places here at home so it's special for my family in WDW. Good luck.:)

AWESOME! We went last month, pics and review are in the link in my signature
Wow, Tutto Italia sounds great from your review. What an awesome thread and great pics!!! I am drooling, and I think you sold me on breakfast at Boma, we've done dinner there but never considered breakfast. I have a question about Chefs de France, where did you sit and where would you recomend?
