Okay so Ed what happened
. Well we started at seven two big time sharks tried to go into the kids pin area and two security men tackled them to the ground. One pin trader traded two pins for one and was shot on the spot.
Really .. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
It started at seven everybody was there and they had a ribbon across the entrance at seven they brought out Pluto and with the help of a little boy named Tony they cut the ribbon and we were off.
Jim Greene made a small speech "fore score and seven years ago " err no wait that's not it he basically said there is one requirement its for you to have fun.
And that we did not only did we have a good time they released an LE pin trading Pooh pin just for the occasion, and is it ever cute.
Now let me tell you the kids trading area was well equipped, they had tables coloring stuff and even their very own pin trading board, my granddaughter had a blast it kept her busy all night.
We had lots of tables and chairs, and I was assured everybody That the pin for pin rule is there just for the guest and newbies. Yes I was assured the seasoned traders could proceed normally, and they did just that.
The one pinbag rule was not really enforced either, there were people there two or more bags, wives don't count as bags kids.
At ten they closed up shop, and the traders were left to their own resources, the kids area went away, but the tables stayed we left at 11:00 and the place still had about 10 diehards still trading.
Now for the record the three people that told me they were going to wait to pass judgment, and see how it went told me tonight that they thought it went great and will be back.
So you all know what this means I'm back in the shameless plug business I'm no host and that's fine by me, but I'm a supporter, so shameless plugs galore.
I had an absolutely great time there were a lot of good friends there, as the pictures will show, and a good friend of mine actually got two of his holy grails tonight.
The only incident was when my granddaughter (the blonde) released a bunch of balloons into the Contemporary skylight, which were quickly chewed to pieces by the air ducts up there, balloons screaming their death squeal is not pretty.
So in closing I would to say Amber I do so love you more than you love me . Err no that's not it, the pin meet was a success y'all and its still the best place to meet.
If you have kids or spouses that don't pin trade they now have something to do, it's a friendly atmosphere and a good time was had by all.
Pictures in the Morning but here are a few taken by Larry as well as the pin.
